Description

Textwell is a multipurpose textbox which can be used for any writing tasks such as jotting, messaging, blogging, searching, posting, and so on.

For the simplicity, Textwell doesn't have features for styling text or managing multiple notes, but it is always ready to start writing instead, and the bunch of customizable actions can process your text in unlimited ways. Actions can be modified and created by yourself with JavaScript.

Textwell is like a single sheet of paper, but it automatically saves current content by appropriate timing as history, so that you can search and take it back some time later.

Also, current note content, actions, and history items are automatically synced with other devices including Mac, iPhone, and iPad via iCloud.

Textwell allows you to
- Simply write and read on a plain text field without any functional complexity or visual clutter.
- Route your text to other apps or services such as Email, Messages, Maps, Reminders, Google Search, and more, by choosing one from the action list. Actions are customizable with JavaScript.
- Modify your text by using actions such as searching/replacing words, inserting specific characters, reordering paragraphs/lines, time-stamping, location-stamping, changing cases, adding bullets, URL-encoding/decoding, escaping/unescaping HTML, and more.
- Preview HTML or markdown by also using actions.
- Search and restore previous content from the automatic history.
- Share current note, actions, and history items with other devices including Mac, iPhone, and iPad automatically via iCloud.
- Check numbers of characters, words, and lines.
- Use "Textwell" Widget.
- Use "Open" and "Open as Blank" Lock Screen Widgets (iPhone).
- Use "Textwell" share extension.
- Use "Add to Textwell" action extension.
- Use "Textwell" iMessage app.
- Change font size, line space, and some behaviors is Settings app.

awesome app

simple and powerful but i wanna change editor’s font

Bad on Apple Watch

Nothing like the pictures. All you can do on the Apple Watch ⌚️ is read notes you added on the iPhone. I just need an app on the Apple Watch that will let me write on the Apple Watch And like a bookmark for writing or even just the ability to merge two notes easily instead of continuing one I have a disorder that affects my writing ability and the scribble thing helps but I don’t like juggling things with my phone

App crashes in iOS 11

Hey, was a great app before but it crashes in iOS 11. Update is needed!

Amazing!

This app is amazing! It's an amazing app in terms of its use and what he can do, and it's also amazing to me that more people aren't reviewing it and/or using it. It is essentially an endless blank slate in which you can edit text, hereto all platforms, search on many platforms, and do all kinds of shortcuts that you wouldn't believe until you start using it. It's a great way to write everything. I write all of my texts, emails, pretty much everything from this app, and share it directly from this. You don't have to hold down to select copy and paste, because it had "actions" (commands or presets or however you want to think of them), that allow you to do it without having to use touch other than to choose the command. It really does streamline the workflow for just about everything. You can make a phone call from this app, as well as just about anything you can do with text. It is the only single app that I keep in my dock. Everything else is in folders. If you don't have this, trust me, you need it. It will change your life on an iOS device.

Awesome text editor. Underrated.

This editor has two amazing features. 1) cursor manipulation by gesturing. This means you can move the cursor by swiping on the screen. Much faster than tapping and holding. 2) javascript-based scripting/actions. You can manipulate text, send it to other programs. Write your own actions.
