For our two-weeks trip to Alaska we enjoyed the Alaska App very much. I mostly used the species guide, an enourmous amount of flowers, even many lichen species is listed, also birds and trees and mammals of course. For other trips I had to buy wildflower books, now I had a free amd useful app with me, that was great. We also used the weather and the aurora borealis forecast. For hints regarding activities we only used the app occasionaly, for our interest (hiking, nature) it didn't offer much. We relied more on leaflets and the "lonely Planet". Since we hadn't booked any accomodations beforehand, we would have liked to use it more, but there were not many accomodations, especially out of towns, to be found on the app. For being a free app, I was very impressed, what it all offered.
