It’s been what, seven? Eight years now?

To start of, I loved this game. I loved this game so much, that I spent a incredible amount of time on it, clearing stages, beating the enemies. But now here we are, and the game has evolved into just… a slog. Ultra forms, dark catseyes… and then surge. At first, the thing I hated the most about the game was the gacha. I hate it with a burning fury, because I want to collect everything, all the cool cats, Ubers and things. Now? After all this time, something worse has came up which just kills my desire to play the game. Surge. Surge is a ability that, when activated, turns some random area into a killzone that just kills your cats. Naturally, there are some units that are immune to it, and some that can get talent to resist it, but here’s the kicker. In ultra legends, you encounter a enemy base that has surge, and it deals a ridiculous amount of damage. The big problem with this? Most surge resistant units are anti-aku. Meaning if the tower is combined with non-aku enemies, it literally turns the game into a roll of dices on wether or not the units you brought to counter the actual enemies will die to the tower, or because the tower killed the units protecting said units, allowing the enemies to kill them. New mechanics may be cool at first, but some things just completely ruin the experience, atleast for me. I’m still gonna play the game from time to time, but I’m never gonna invest as much time as I used to into it, because it just isn’t fun spending all that time grinding for speed ups, rich cats, CPU’s, xp, catfruit and behemoth stones. What’s the point when ultra legends just isn’t fun. Why even try to progress.

Great strategy game!

I can’t describe how much i love this game. I have almost sinked 300 hours in to it by now. Its a great strategy game that’s quite hard and needs lots of grinding.
