English Learning Lounge
This app has a self-assessement test that models real English usage and requires multiple word answers and use of multiple parts of speech. This is a more accurate assessment of skill than one that only focuses on verbs or prepositions in a test. I like the Spellraiser game and found myself trying to beat my own time. I think moving the “next” button closer to where the answer is entered in the assessment would make it a little easier to use. Also, in the Spellraiser game I saw one “wrong” answer that is actually a correct English word that isn’t used often (wont). Other than that it’s great!
English Learning Lounge rating
This app is easy to use and contains many elements of English language learning from beginner to advanced. It has reading as well as listening components - both very important for learners. I am in Canada and the English seems more British than American. Not sure if there’s an American English app in the works? Overall this app is user-friendly and covers a lot grammar & vocabulary that’s useful for learners.
