The Great Courses Plus

I think anyone who wants me to buy into something even with a free trial without telling me the cost until I give them a whole lot of information they can then sell is not much different from any scammers. Let you in, get you hooked, wham. I even went to the FAQ where they listed the question but cleverly failed to answer it. Maybe I’m wrong but I really don’t think I need any more aggravation in my life. I for one, pass.

On iOS, using AirPlay or Cast, to LG smart TV

they are aware that the Apple TV app cannot stay signed in and have been for many months and yet it is still not fixed. This is an expensive premium product. The app should work.

I have purchased and enjoyed courses from The Teaching Company for many years, and greatly enjoyed them. Ever since you changed your policy and approach to the European System, I can no longer access the “offered courses”!!! Why??? Michael Dolan

The app needs work, the BIGGEST thing to implement is the ability to keep listening to something when you leave the app. If watching a course, then letting the video do a PIP like YouTube. If that’s too wild truly just let me leave the app and do other stuff while I have a course playing in the background.

This app suddenly stopped working on my iPhone. This app suddenly stopped opening up. I tried deleting the app and re-installing and it still doesn’t work.

I LIKE THIS APP A LOT, BUT IT KEEPS LOGGING ME OUT ON THE APPLE TV WHICH IS ANNOYING. AND WHEN IT DOES SO IT FORGETS THAT I DON’T WANT AUTOPLAY ON. ALSO THIS APP IS SUBSTANTIALLY LOUDER THAN ALL THE OTHER APPS ON MY APPLE TV. THAT IS WHY I AM TYPING IN ALL CAPS—SO YOU CAN HEAR ME OVER IT.

This Awesome Resource is my favorite application. I love sitting by the lake and growing my knowledge levels. THANK YOU🏆

Love the content and information, but when the app reopens on my iPhone, it loses my place when trying to play a lecture and starts it over. Very frustrating. I was originally hoping they would come up with a CarPlay app, but now I’m just hoping for basic functionality to work.

I love the content of Great Courses and will probably keep my subscription just for that, but this app is very frustrating. In particular, it struggles mightily in keeping track of which lectures you’ve watched and rarely starts you on the next one in your series. It almost always starts up the one I previously watched. TGC app fails on some basic table stakes of a streaming service. 5 stars when and if they fix the app.
