At first the game was incredible, but after version 2.0, the game completely changed and stopped being interesting, and even those who invested money ended up being affected.

Games a joke

This game has become a massive joke now with all the new updates and rules they’ve introduced, it’s becoming unplayable I only stay because the group I’m with makes it fun

Pay to win

I love many aspects of this addictive strategy game and would rate it 5 stars if pay to win was restricted. Unfortunately it’s ruined by a greedy monetisation model that causes most players to drop off by season 3. Season 1 can be fun as free or cheap to play. The team with the most whales will win season 2. By season 3 you’ll be fighting zenith whales who have spent thousands. The new march system introduced this season is more realistic but less strategic (and the pathing is appalling). Recent updates have too many bugs. I’ll play out the current season as I don’t want to abandon my team but this is the last one for me. I’ll miss the many good people I’ve met, miss the (ever diminishing) moments of strategic play, and be glad for the hours of my life back.

Missed opportunity

In the early stages this game was great and had the chance to be something really fun, but there is an enjoyment cap for those that don’t want to pour money into the game, and at that stage it becomes unplayable for F2P players. New update takes away all the work those F2P players went through, catering once again to those that pay to quickly level up. Real shame because the game was quite fun and a really great experience for LOTR fans that don’t have much in the way of recent games.

A little sad

When this game first came out I really liked it but the I deleted it for a while now I have re-download it and when I was picking a faction at the start I could not see Mordor on there so that’s why I did not rate it 5 star but anyway it’s a good game.

Spent over 15 thousand AUD just to lose

Games became ridiculous anything you invested in has been taken away from you . I invested in my commanders I’ve had since season one but that’s not the meta so all my money was for nothing , constantly lose can’t do anything . So many broken things that people are using no point in playing anymore . If I could get a refund I would of by now and been long gone .

Constant changing of game dynamics by developers destroying game

As per above. Pretty pointless playing, given the games developers are completely useless lack an concepts of rigorous testing or impact on existing commanders. Rendering so many of them completely useless. Eg Galadriel

A wasted opportunity

Don’t get it, there’s inconsistency that makes no sense, I chose men as my faction, yet get randomly selected commanders from Isengard and Mordor? My commanders also run out of stamina quickly and when your build queue is maxed out there’s not really anything to do. Such a shame because the game looks great and had such huge potential to give LOTR fans something to really enjoy.

Game has been ruined by the Dev team

The game used to be really good and was the first game I even spent money because I was having so much fun But unfortunately it’s been ruined by the new version. I have tried to persevere through 2.0 but unfortunately the game that I loved and enjoyed is no longer there. All new modes favour P2W players and simple battle mechanics have now been changed to the point where it’s no longer fun Dont waste your time and money on this game
