1. When playing notes, duration must be adjustable. Easy way to do this is to keep playing a note for as long as it is being pressed. 2. In Song list view, must be able to select sound type, ie pitch pipe or piano. This is the view pitch person will be using in ensemble performance mode. MD will name a song, pitch person needs to be able to tap/hold the song to play short or long note with preferred sound (classic or piano)
Ps I notice Roxy said he was working on providing longer notes, 4 YEARS AGO!!??
Basic pitch app, comes close
Plays a pitch from your phone or the Apple Watch, and in the phone app it can play the starting pitch or first note of the scale from a song list.
I’d give this a perfect score if you could change the length of the note (it’s much too short for my purposes - sounds like it’s a little more than a second and I’d need at least 3). It would also be fantastic if the song list could be used on the watch. With the current functions it’s a bit pricey for what it does.
Love it. Missing one thing.
The app has been a great tool for me. I have only used it for a few months now. Would love to have it available on my Apple Watch.
Not much detail
I like this pitch pipe hearing about the sounds. Me practicing piano that can help me learn bout the noises. There isn’t much to do on it though. Although this can be really cool on trying to learn notes.
Disappointed
If I remember right I payed a 1 dollar or 2 for this app to hav on my Apple Watch jst in case i didn’t have my phone. I cud still pitch a song, well then they took it way which was frustrating, and said it’s coming back with iOS 13 which has been out for months and I’ve never seen it again🙄but the app was great I really liked it why I had it...
This is it - the real “perfect” pitch pipe
I have tried just about all of them and this pitch pipe app is the only one I have found to be reliable/flawless - tones are great and the touch works - edge to edge (on iPhone XS MAX). Excellent design.
Great App!
This is by far the best pitch pipe app I have ever used. It makes finding the starting note super easy!
Best App for Song Leaders
This is the best app for song leaders. It has a lot more features than any other app out there. Easy to use. Simple. Elegant. Great job!
Handy
A great app with great features, but a few flaws.
Features:
-I absolutely love the ability to put in the starting note and be able to hear the scale.
Flaws:
-The only real flaw I could find is that the note(s) play for a set time rather than as long as you press the virtual button (a feature found on many free pitch apps).
-I’m not entirely sure what the pitch assistant is supposed to do, but maybe that’s just me. Looks like it doesn’t scale out properly.
The app also feels slightly unpolished, but that’s not very important to me as long as it works.
Other than that, keep up the great work!
This is the pipe to get.
Have tried several pipes; this is clearly the one for gigging musicians.
Pros: the musician’s “holy grail” of Watch apps, a stand-alone pitch pipe that plays the note directly from the Apple Watch. Excellent, clean interface. Indispensable.
Also: a responsive layout on iOS devices.
Cons: plays pitch for a set time (~1 sec.). Would prefer the control of touch-to-play, release-to-stop on an iPhone/iPad.
Pitch will play even if phone is muted (a good thing; your phone *should* be muted if you are performing/rehearsing). Responds to volume control.
