The Vinyl District

I've been waiting for an APP like this for a long time and finally it's here! Great for when you're traveling or in a new city and want to hunt out those hidden gem record shops. Search for a shop name, city, or country and get a list of related record shops or with your location settings on it will show you on a map what's in you area. The design and user interface of the APP leaves a lot to be desired and I personally would like to see something more modern and eye appealing. Also it would be nice to see a genre description for each store, so I don't end up at a Country Music Collectors shop when I'm looking Electronic Dance 12"s and vice verse. This aside it's a great APP and I look forward to putting it into action on Euro trip next month.

I like this app a lot! I always use this when I travel to see what record stores are in whatever city I happen to be in. When talking with other music nerds I always mention this as indispensable.

It’s a good app. Convenient to find record stores in the vicinity of your current location. The biggest improvement needs to be a search function. So you can plan to visit locations outside of your current area. Research stores in cities where you might be headed in the future.

...about social media? Go to Facebook and post stupid pictures of your kids and food if you are that addicted. One reviewer said there wasn’t any editorial content... er, wrong, Buffalo Breath! Awesome app

I use this all the time!

Just returned to this app after a long hiatus. Sad to see if has annoying Google ads now. Given that this app is mostly used while walking/traveling looking for records I can't imagine too many people are clicking on ads for Spanish lessons. Also the placement of the ads makes it impossible to add a photo to your profile as they obscure the menu. Genius UI design.

Excellent app easy to use the best

I use this mostly for finding record stores near me when I'm traveling. One thing I hope is that there will start to be more reviews of the stores listed. Even asking the stores to do a little right up about what type of place they are. Every record store is different but it would be nice to know if they sell mostly new or used and what genres they specialize in.

Travelled to Dublin for business & fun. The Vinyl District app helped us find 4 record stores within walking distance from our lodging. Fantastic app!
