The Way Home: Pixel Roguelike

the game is great for when youre somewhere without wi-fi and it’s a decent combat game where you get satisfying bonuses as you clear each dungeon. When there actually are ads, which show up on the other islands, they aren’t many at all shoved in your face. To get to each island though, you either need to pay 10 dollars (and everything is ad free) or watch a total of 15 30 second ones, but you can just watch them while doing something else.

Fun little game.

I really like the game and the approach to monetisation. But I really miss support for Apple Pencil! Whyyy?! :/

This is absolutely one of the best games I have ever played on my phone.

Would give it five stars if you didnt have to look at all the ads again to get the deck pieces on second run. But a very fun game all the same.

After finishing this game after about 14 hours, I can really recommend it. It blends some really fun characters and laidback story with simple but fun gameplay. It’s fun to unlock and try out new skills and find lots of loot and the boss fights are just difficult enough to feel really satisfying once you beat them. It also has great monetization. If you’re willing to sit through some ads, that doesn’t disrupt gameplay, can finish the game for free. Or you can pay the IAP to remove ads. I highly recommend this indie gem!
