Whereas before you only needed to connect to wifi to download the latest issue, now you a need to be constantly connected otherwise the pictures will not load. I also find that without a connection the app tries to re-download the already downloaded issue, and subsequently fails to load any of the content. Please address these issues asap. The reading experience has become downright painful!

This latest version is a big step backwards for those like me who read The Week in landscape mode on a 9.7” ipad. It doesn’t display properly and instead of being like reading a magazine, as in the past. Amongst the things which annoy me are 1. For articles with a picture at the start, it takes up a whole screen and you need to scroll down to get to the text 2. there are now completely superfluous “summary” pages at the start of each section, which were surely intended to display as a band on the lhs, but they don’t... 3. Much harder to navigate between issues as each issue is now full size image rather than the vignette style for other than the current issue in the old app. As a result you have to scroll down 2 screens to get to the next issue. 4. The crossword is impossible to do as in landscape mode the virtual keyboard doesn’t fit on the screen (and doesn’t scroll) All the clues don’t fit on the screen & impossible to scroll down to read the missing ones. The only solution is to turn to portrait mode, where only 3 clues show at a time. It probably looks great on a phone, but that’s not what I use to read it & they have ruined the ipad app experience for me
Love The Week, but hate the app on my apple phone as it seems to be in a constant state of ‘processing’. I’ve given up trying.
This used to be a great app. But for the last couple or so months, it has been freezing repeatedly on the iPad. And when you try to return to where you were before, instead you are taken to an opening page, slowing down access significantly.

I have subscribed to the week for many years and thoroughly enjoy its unbiased review of events in the UK . I live ouside of the Uk and travel therefore it is important to stay in touch with local and international events . The week allows me to do that and then to choose to go into articles in more depth . It opens up my eyes to a wide host of topics and i cannot live without it . Thank you Georgie
The Week is by far my favourite magazine and I expected no less from their app, which is simple, easy to use and very complete.The layout is as clever as it could possibly be given the iPhone's relatively small screen size. While I still prefer the paper version I like how this app allows me to read the newest issue before it's even delivered to my front door. Keep up the good work!
