Thinger - 3D Printing Models

It’s a fun idea, and I would be *happy* to pay $0.50 a month for this. Ironically, I almost did before even hitting my first ad because I thought it was such a fun idea, but then I thought, ‘okay, use it for more than 30 seconds before deciding, even if it’s ’just $6’ a year, $6 is $6 and you don’t need to waste it if you’re never going to use it and delete the app after a day or two’ And it was at that point that it was as though the app read my mind and decided it was going to make me regret that decision.. it pops up an ad out of nowhere with women in various stages of undress, trying to sell some dating app or porn product. I have kids! I often scroll through models with them on thingiverse so they can pick their favorite to print, so it’s by no means a stretch to think they very realistically could have been exposed to it. My kids are very young and not online by themselves so it’s also not just ‘something they’re exposed to anyway’ picking out prints is about the most they know how to do on a computer. So that ad would have been bad enough for me to be surprised and upset, but it was that ad AND it was completely unskipable… I did not click on a ‘watch an ad for 60 minutes of no ad banner’ or some kind of offer where I agreed to have an ad literally take over the entire app and cover my screen with pixelated bodies and “we can’t show you everything” I think - okay, maybe I’m overreacting, they have to keep the lights on somehow - let’s keep going, and I do another 10 models or so and here comes another ad! And these aren’t like an ad in place of a model and you just keep going — like when reading a news story and there is a gallery and 4 things are things you came to see and then one is an ad, and you can then just click the arrow again and it’s 4 more things you came to see. These are full page non-skippable ads every minute.. I honestly don’t know if I’d like using the app, because I can’t. I’ll take a 3 day free trial then yearly sub even.. are you worried your app isn’t worth using again?..

Ads can be on bottom or top. Full screen ads leads to bad experience

Go ahead and export this file to a thumb drive. It’s going to export as a 2D image and that’s useless

There are a few models that just wont register for me, even when I save them and wait like 10 minutes. It’s really annoying, especially when its a cool sounding model. It’ll just load for hours on end. Please fix this as soon as you can! Thanks

Great concept to aggregate all of the sites in one place and allow user to collect and organize them. But I was shocked to not find a website I could log into on my computer to see my collections. Since the models need downloaded on the computer, it would be great to access my collections online instead of having to look at on phone, determine site the model was found on, then visit that site.

Full of Ads and slow search for items. Deleted it within 10 minutes.

I think the amount of ads will get me to delete this app…. I don’t mind some but an ad that you have to click on twice to close every t8 models is a bit much……

I go through 1,000 stl files every day. I get so many ideas from this app and it lets me make creations I wouldn’t ever think where possible to make before seeing them while just scrolling through the designs.

Great concept, however the ads are predatory and the cost to remove ads is very high, especially for only a year. I’d recommend two options, remove for a year for $2 and remove forever for $5.

Kinda like tinder for 3d prints, but then there’s ads that you can’t skip. Literally ruins the whole experience. Don’t waste your time until they find another way to get their ad revenue.
