Thirdmill

Can't get this app to work on my iPad mini :-(

Downloaded this app from the link on the Thirdmill website expecting to use it in conjunction with my online courses on that same site. Not only is it a completely different account, it doesn’t tie to the courses I’m working on in any meaningful way I can find. I wanted to be able to follow along in the notes and such as I watched the video lectures or even to watch those lectures in the app. I’m sure this is also good material, but the lack of a link to my account on the website and the courses I’m enrolled in makes it useless to me.

This is an excellent way to get a new and improved knowledge of the Holy Bible. Whether it is used for learning theology or in an attempt to bring someone to the faith,this is an excellent way to become closer to the Heavenly Father that sent us his son Jesus Christ

I find 3rd Mil to be a good intro and/or ongoing study resource overall. I find this app to be especially handy as I meet with young men and women in coffee shops to disciple them as they seek to deepen Biblically and Theologically. A smart phone allows each of us to engage the subject matter and make notes on our own, then allows us the ability to reference all of it (even video) as we meet to discuss. One consideration: I think the videos should be updated to better engage the up and coming generation in the west. Jackets, ties, and bookcase/library settings can be a barrier to engagement. This is a great tool for learning theology. Third Millennium was developed to train pastors in foreign lands and give them seminary training since those pastors have little to no opportunity to get trained. So this ministry has developed some great free materials in multiple languages. (see their website at thirdmill.org) I praise God for the work they are doing in distant lands, but I am also happy that these materials exist because they have been great for churches, Sunday schools, Bible studies, and personal walks. Try the Apostles' Creed. It is a great place to start. I love that one!!!

Content is very practical and offers true seminary level of education! Yet very simply put! Quality is splendid! Wonderful! Thank you, Third Mill!

I love the heart of these resources and Dr Pratt for being willing to put great teaching in the hands of the global church! As a person who has travelled and done extensive mission work, the global church lacks the resources for Biblical theology and teaching that we should be providing them. Well done! 4 stars only because the Calvinist understanding presented limits the scope and breadth of the theological perspective to make it a true ecumenical resource center for the global church.
