Great game but bloody hard and frustrating, love the graphics and sounds, will have to practice to get good tho 👍
Everything about this is as exciting as it was when I first played on oculus quest. I finished it on there with an s on every level proudly. The thing that makes this almost unplayable to me is the lane changing. Tilt mechanic is impossible, as are the UI button alternatives. This NEEDS to be a swipe to be at all passable, if not taken out of the mobile version all together. It’s so frustrating to be handicapped by trying to tilt my phone at strange angles, and it either not registering or going too far. I don’t regret buying it just because I love the game but it just makes me sad that I can’t get past points that I breezed through on the quest :(
Thumper, it has to be said, is maybe one of the very best games out there. From its thumping soundtracks to its beautiful patterns, thumper is an astonishing and unmissable experience. This is quite unlike any game you’ll ever play. To unlock the full potential of this game, I tried it in VR, which is a whole new thing, but not the subject of this review. If you have a VR headset, I recommend this even more highly though. First I’ll right about the game. Basically, you’re a beetle who is zooming along a narrow path (or, in the later levels, several paths) with many obstacles in your way. You have to turn corners, jump, fly, and zoom to break and fly through obstacles. In a very distant way, it’s similar to games like subway surf. There are 9 levels, each one harder than the last, and each one introducing new things. You may think 9 levels isn’t much, but each level has about 20 or so parts, that are all, in my opinion, as long as what I define a level to be. Around your road, beautiful moving patterns swirl and move. There are also boss levels that add a whole new level of fun. Now, I’ll get to what makes this game good. Firstly, the music. To be honest, it’s not music, more of a sort of drum pad thing. It’s great, and has a lovely rhythm to it that makes the game very enjoyable. Then, the amazing graphics of the game. I’m surprised my phone can cope with these. Fast-changing colours and patterns are all around you, which add some good looks to the game. This, however, does mean that it is a bit battery-hungry, although it’s not too bad, and would have to be my only complaint about the game. I know this can’t be changed though so it doesn’t matter. I’m playing this on an old iPhone 6 which doesn’t help. Lastly, how action-packed the game is. You have to focus a lot as well, and be extremely precise to get maximum points. It is really fast-paced and exciting, making the game more interesting. Talking about maximum points, there are ranks you get for each part of a level, the best one being ‘s.’ All in all, I think thumper is an absolutely fantastic game, yes it has a bit of a hefty price tag, but it’s well worth it. Do yourself a favour and download this now. Well done developers for such an amazing game.
Very hard but excellent graphics and performance are also good very happy.
This game is great but has some flaws like not seeing objects or just the level being really hard but overall it’s great
This game, once it works, that is, is a rather fun game to play. While not my favourite game out there, it is a good way to enjoy fifteen minutes or so when you’re bored. What’s more, if there are any technical difficulties, the developers are kind enough to get in touch and do their best to sort out the problem (as it was done with me). In other words, the game is fun, the developers are nice. What more do you want, really?
So I’ve tried and dyed again but it just won’t let me join the game and kicks meeeee I’m on a iPad mini 3or4 I really hope you can fix this as it looks like a brill game
I don’t understand the game even after doing the tutorial and reading their instruction on the website. I requested a refund on the same day but Apple refused my request. £5 wasted. Great
Everyone should try this game. Especially if you have played guitar hero or rock band before.
Very boring, doesn’t make sense! I want my money back
