TI-Nspire™ CAS

May. App withdrawn from UK App store - disappointed. Programme developed a long time ago from a calculator base having limited memory, consequently it works but the navigation is basic and the error messages are cryptic. You will need help to use the App. That said, it is a powerful tool. Just wish it was using more of the amazing capability of the ipad. ------- April. Very grateful for your offer concerning the calculator. Worked out that the CAS is more powerful one, (but may not be allowed at school. Having to help with the scientific homework, which I knew many years ago. The app appears to be both useful, and powerful. Many thanks, again.

5 stars app for advance mathematics. However it would be great if there was a companion app for iPhone. Waiting for iPad Pro resolution.

Exactly the same pc/Mac software you get when you spend £130+ buying the actual calculator and does everything the calculator does but on a much bigger screen. Existing .tns files from the calculator or your pc/Mac can be emailed across to your iPad for use in this app.

I purchased the very excellent Ti Nspire CX CAS a year ago. It is a super graphing calculator with plethora of functions useful up to and beyond university math. The calculator comes with a very good software application that mirrors all of the calculator's functions and allow for printing and saving. This tablet application is an exact replica of the PC software and gives the same functionality as the £ 150 calculator for just £ 20. I know it may look like an expensive app but trust me it is not once you realise it's full potential. A must for anyone serious about math.

This a very good app that will easily replace Amy calculator you can buy. It's one of those apps that turns your iPad into a work horse. If you view this as a £21 app you might think its a bit overpriced but if you look at it as a calculator that it at the top of its league it's becomes quite cheap. I gave 4 stars because I'm a student and I'd just rather pay less.

I have used the TI Nspire Handhelds and Computer software for many years and this App is a worthy addition to the family of platforms upon which you can get students to engage with the maths. It's a great compromise between the small screen of the handhelds and the full power of a computer.

Is app was a brilliant companion to my cx cas calculator up until the 16th April update. Since then I have not been able to do a single thing. It starts fine but will not open any saved document or start a new document with out crashing back to home. I was using this daily in my calculus classes as a learning tool and now I'm pretty miffed the issue has still not been rectified!

Despite the high price tag, seeing the app was by Ti I got very excited. I was particularly looking forward to quality graphing capabilities. In short I'm disappointed, particularly with the 3D graphing as spherical and cylindrical expressions aren't allowed. In fact graphs can only be input in function form i.e. subject = expression. Graphing two equal expressions, often extremely convenient, isn't an option in this app. I was pleasantly surprised with the geometric construction facilities but that's not what I got the app for. Also the nifty ability to change 2D polynomials and trig functions by 'physically' manipulating their graphs while impressive isn't very useful for me and isn't applicable to polar expressions. To summarise this app is quantity over quality, clunky as opposed to slick and intuitive and does't really take full advantage of a tablets abilities. However there are lots of applications to utilise so three stars.

Great app, own a TI-Nspire and is a perfect complement. The app does support retina display however the content doesn't. For example setting a function or doing some calculations the UI will be retina but the content isn't. All assets should be retina, makes for a nicer user experience
