Timeline Journal Reviews

This journal is AMAZING!

People, don't sleep on this app! I've used almost every journaling app around for years. There are a few good ones but I've always liked the running timeline ones, like Momento. Unfortunately that app stopped development. Using journals like DayOne and Journey are solid experiences for what they are. If however you just want to see a "timeline" of thoughts and ideas and images as your day unfolded Timeline is the best I've used. Number one is ease of use. Right out of the box it magically synced up between the Mac version and iPhone without me doing anything. It has all the right features and no bloat, and the UI is gorgeous. There's also an easy search function. I'd love to see the ability to save a search with tags. I'm just so pleasantly surprised I had to write a review. Try it you'll like it!

Great Journaling App

Timeline Journal is exactly what I’ve been looking for. The interface is modern, great-looking, and easy to use. Love being able to add photos, and the “on this day” feature is a nice surprise. Well worth the price!

AMAZING!! I love it so much already.

I did not have this app downloaded more than 30 minutes to an hour. Made my first journal entry and then immediately purchased the lifetime ONE TIME payment for this amazing wonderful app. (You don’t have to purchase you can use it for free with out being hassled to buy it. AND ITS FANTASTIC) It’s what I’ve been looking for! It’s simple and easy to use. Free or super super cheap and No subscription!! Great job! I think this will be one of my new favorite apps and super helpful by making it easy for me to journal. Thank you!!

Best journaling app I’ve found!

This app is not only beautifully designed, clean and easy to use, but the features make it perfect for my journaling needs. I appreciate how it works on macOS too, for if I want to use a full keyboard to type or see entries on a bigger screen. And the pro features are way more than worth the cost. Thank you!

Crashes

Trying to use this app because it’s free and simple, but crashes every time I try to edit an entry. Unfortunate, as it’s the best I’ve found so far.

surprisingly a good journal app

Just what I was looking for in a journaling app. Clean interface and simple input make this perfect for getting my thoughts down quickly. The memories feature is a great touch too! In the future I'd love the ability to search for words in my entries and potentially the ability to add photos as well but overall very happy with the app so far. Thanks for making it!

I love this, it’s so simple and straight to the point; no fluff, just write whatever you need to write.

One thing I’d add is a passcode/Face ID/Touch ID lock.

Really nice, not over-complicated journal.

I got this because I was tired of being bombarded with ads or premium subscription stuff when I was just trying to make a diary entry. This works fantastically. No unnecessary clutter, no distracting ads. Just a no nonsense way to quickly and easily write a journal entry. I do have a couple suggestions. In the last app I tried, you could toggle whether there was a time stamp on your note, as well as the date stamp. I’d like that I here. It’s cool to see when you made a note, like if it was morning or bedtime. If you added a time stamp, it would need to be small, elegant, and simple. So it wouldn’t distract from the clean interface. I’d also like to be able to choose the color of the words and “+” button. That would be lovely. Maybe with a color wheel or something for infinite personalization. Perhaps you could hold down on the “journal” at the top to open the color picker? I wouldn’t want to add a button. Finally, it’s a little annoying when you’re making a note and you scroll to the top too fast, closing it without saving. I’d like it if, when you scroll up to the top, it just bounces or something the first time you hit it instead of closing completely. All in all a great app, perfectly simple and distraction free. As long as that never changes, I’m happy.
