Notified me right away when there was a fire hazard.
Works as advertised. I was notified of a power outage and a brownout shortly afterwards while on vacation.
Love this product, I feel much safer with it
I strongly recommend everybody who owns a condo or house to buy one of these. Even if you are a renter, it would be a good safety feature to have to reduce your chances of a home electrical fire.
We lost a couple stars for a few reasons. 1. This device only monitors half the phase. I understand that 2 halves are a whole so multiply times 2 and that’s your total, but that’s not really good enough. If a home has an issue with a neutral, ring might never know, you just get the side of the phase that you decided to plug into and hope you get lucky. 2. You write to the description that normal and safe voltage is up to 132 volts. This is just incorrect, nominal voltage is now 120 and with a 10% allowances, that gets you to 132. That’s all well and good for all of the appliances that are rated for 120 volts, but sadly, all appliances are still rated at either 110 volts or 115 volts. I see customers everyday that have lost equipment and appliances due to high voltage peaking past 126 volts and you claim that 132 is safe, and double that is 264 volts when 230 Volt motors start burning up at 253 volts. I’m not even sure why you would say this unless you get kickbacks from utility companies or something. Bottom line, research electricity before making ridiculous statements. 3. The app has very little functionality, even the history report is limited with what information it could have. I get it, there isn’t much functionality you could add here, but at least throw in there what you can do. All together, I will keep the device and its corresponding App because it does provide some current and historical data, however limited. It’s easy to be the best in the industry when you’re the only in the industry.
It really works well it gives you an accurate picture of what is happening in your electronic system. I’m glad we have it I also placed it in my two condos. If you don’t have and you have State Farm insurance you’re missing out.
Unfortunately, I can’t tell if this is good or not because the app does not rotate to be viewed on landscape mode. Can you please fix this in your next release?
I stopped the registration process and unplugged the Ting Sensor at the point they wanted my internet password. No way! Somewhere along the line I guess I missed that piece of information that they “needed” that.
My garage GFI keep tripping and Ting did not report any abnormality.
I’m not a fan of Ting at all, it goes offline all the time blinking yellow while the rest of the house is having no problems with WiFi😳
