The only way audio play can be sustained with this app, it seems, is to keep the phone screen on. Don’t know who that makes sense for in a podcast player. It makes none for me. There are some things I like here. Maybe I’ll check back to see if they’ve got the obvious things taken care of. For now, though, this was a short trial. The app is useless to me.
Installed, entered my phone number, which was weird... then the app quit. Went to open it again, goes to home screen for a split second, then quits. I’m using most updated iOS. Too bad, was really looking forward to finally bookmarking podcasts.
I thought this app was ok when it first launched but it keeps getting better with every new update! I can’t believe how fast the team releases new features every week. They even took my feedback of creating a way to subscribe to podcast shows and built it in 3 days! Can’t wait for future updates, this team and app is going places :)
I have so many podcasts apps but this is no doubt the best one. Super efficient and social!
I’ve always wanted a bookmarking app for all my podcasts. This solves my biggest need! I’ve also found so many new shows I would never have considered if not for the featured feed! Excited to see this evolve!
Audio clips don’t load
ive casually listened to podcasts for years, but have always been frustrated with podcast apps and the way they’re organized. i can track down the few podcasts i already know, but discovering new ones felt impossible with so many options flooding the feeds. and then theres the problem of podcasts being so long, so i was always stuck listening to the same few podcasts, feeling like i was missing out on the podcast culture that so many rave about, stuck outside of it with no way to get in. TL;DL is the first podcast app ive seen that disrupts the usual model, and does so in very exciting ways. by allowing users to curate moments from podcasts they like, it becomes a hand-picked selection of thought-provoking content that is so easy to jump into and get lost in. ive found more podcasts using this app in a few days than years of using other podcast apps, and thats not even to mention the social aspect, with profile pictures, followers, likes, etc. its like a podcast discovery tool and social network rolled into one, but in a way that seems to encourage the best aspects of social networks, sharing and discovery. would highly recommend this app to anyone even passingly interested in podcasts, it’s a game changer.,.
I hate rating things but this is great. I consider myself an avid podcast listener and the biggest issues for me have been finding new shows and actually sharing them with friends. I’ve tried to share shows in the past but always failed to really find an easy way to share something from an episode that was relevant to my friends/colleagues. Sharing is super simple, it only takes 30 seconds to make a book mark and title it. Then it generates a link you can send to them and they don’t even need the app to listen to it with the link!
They’re working on fixing an important problem in the podcast world. Podcasts are super powerful but some of them are just way too long and sharing ideas or concepts that are found in a show is extremely difficult at times. They found a way to solve that. Now it’s just time to make discovering podcasts just as easy by organizing all these clips people have made
