I hate to be the bearer of bad news but when you’re older than 2, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to develop perfect pitch. So if you’re looking for something that does that, you’re wasting you time. However, all hope is not lost. What you can (and should) learn is relative pitch. This means you can distinguish the intervals between notes and as a result hear what note something is based on a reference note. Why is this important? Having relative pitch allows you to recognise chords and intervals without having to think about it. You can hear what it is in the blink of an eye. If you can combine this with good tone memory and A LOT OF PRACTICE you can get something going that is almost as good as perfect pitch. Let’s call this “perfect relative pitch” This app will help you train your relative pitch in a simple and fun way by making you guess notes, intervals and chords in a game like way. You can start simple and build your way up to harder things over time.

Nice app for beginning musicians

We live in a tone universe, but most of us are unaware which tone it is that we hear. Some have that “perfect pitch”, nut that’s ‘them’, you know... Well, actually not. This small app brings the knowledge you have about tones together with your ability to distinguish tones and nail them, accurately. You did not know what you knew, until you were made aware of it. This is what Tone unlocks. Simply and straightforwardly.

This is good but could be great if you FIXED THE BUG OF THE TONES MESSING UP WHEN YOU PUT IT AT 1 seconds time limit for perfect pitch practice. If you answer it like just as the time is over, It ends up mistiming, sending wrong tones and just messing up in general when I’m doing this. Also I would love if the time limited could be in finer increments like 2.0, 1.5. 1.0, .05 or just letting you choose more specific amounts. It really helps me learn reactionarily these notes.
