Description

TouchMix-30 Control is an app for iPad, iPad mini, iPhone and iPod touch that provides wireless control of QSC TouchMix-30 Pro digital sound reinforcement mixers. The app is not intended to perform any audio mixing or processing tasks on its own. Visit http://www.qsc.com for more information.
When run on the iPad and iPad mini, the TouchMix-30 Control app closely follows the operational paradigm of the mixer. The iPad and the mixer GUI operate independently so it is possible for the iPad to act as an additional user interface that can display and control a set of functions completely different from those being controlled by the mixer’s screen and hardware. An alternate operation mode – Follow Mixer – is also available. With Follow Mixer engaged, the iPad follows the fader selection on the mixer. Touch a fader on the mixer and the iPad will display that channel’s Overview, EQ, Compressor, Sends or Gate screen. Touch a parameter on the iPad and the mixer’s rotary control will adjust it – or just drag on the iPad screen. When used without an actual TouchMix, the app acts as a demonstration of the mixer GUI and functionality.
On the iPhone and iPod touch, the TouchMix Control app functions as a personal stage monitor mix control with the option to also remotely operate the mixer’s record and playback features as well as programmable user buttons. To prevent inadvertent adjustment of controls, the mixer operator may allow or restrict access to selected functions on a per-device basis.

TouchMix Reviews

We need to have a option for eq and all the stuff in cellphones

Güirard on

In the phone I can’t mix nothing, I would love if they can make that’s possible, most of the people don’t use table there to big and they’re using cell phone. Please make this real.

Crapy app

Not able to save, recall, create etc because the popup window only shows cancel button. There is no other button shows up.

Beware of the upgrade

Bill2112 on

I resisted upgrading the new firmware of this mixer for just this reason. As soon as I upgraded the firmware on the mixer, the app will not work. Yes, I tried everything. Uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting the mixer. Major problems. The control app was one of the best things about this mixer. No longer.

Last Update ruined app

Smith Perete on

United States

App doesn’t even control the mixer anymore. Now my iPad just shows up as a new device every single time I connect to my mixer

Worked okay until last update

JMRmusic on

The app disconnects from the mixer. Also, the faders on the app no longer control the mixer remotely on my iPad. I now have to use my phone to control my the board, which is counterproductive.

Works great except…

The app doesn’t connect to the mixer if you’re running ios17. Don’t upgrade until this issue is resolved.

Good App but disconnects

CCC Music on

United States

The newest version of this app works very well overall, except for the problem of disconnecting from the mixer every time I switch to using a different app and then return to the TouchMix-30 app which was still running in the background. This is a major issue in a live music setting when using the mixer app, a song sheet app, etc. simultaneously. Hopefully a fix is in the works!

WI-FI Disconnecting

vincebel on

United States

Ever since the new update, this app disconnects from both of my Wi-Fi routers when connected via Ethernet to the TouchMix-30 Pro. This happens when switching temporarily to other apps on the iPad Pro such as a Setlist app or DJ app, etc. This forces me to constantly quit out of the touch mix app and re-open it in order to reestablish control of the TouchMix-30 consul. It is very annoying. Please fix, thanks.

App disconnects frequently

I was using the Touchmix-16 using an old ipad 4th gen running ios 10. It worked great very stable. We recently "upgraded" to the Touchmix-30 firmware Ver. 3.0.12462 and I upgraded to ipad 8th gen running the latest ios 16.5. We held our first band rehearsal (11 piece), all connected with iphone running individual monitor mix. Connected to a local wireless router that was wired to the mixer in the same room. Numerous times for everyone the app simply disconnects. The iPhone remained connected to the local wifi but the app just disconnects. The only way to reconnect to the mixer was to close the app, restart wifi on the iphone, reconnect to the wireless, reopen the app. I'm very disappointed. For the cost of this unit, plus the need to upgrade the ipad. This is unacceptable. We are playing our first show tonight with the new TM-30 and hopefully, everyone can get their mix at sound check. QSC. You need to do better. If you truly want to be a top tier pro audio company you need a more stable robust app. (I'm considering returning this unit and going with something else)

If only it could send signals to GarageBand

McStaff78 on

The app is great. I’m not a sound person but I know *just* enough to be productive and not destroy settings. I was hoping to record with GarageBand on the iPad hooked up as the remote, but I’m also not that adept at anything involving recording. Would be so easy instead of worrying about hard drives and whatnot, just multitrack recording on your iPad.
