TouchMix-8/16 Control is an app for iPad, iPad mini, iPhone and iPod touch that provides wireless control of QSC TouchMix-8 and TouchMix-16 digital sound reinforcement mixers. Visit http://www.qsc.com for more information. The app is not intended to perform any audio mixing or processing tasks on its own.
When run on the iPad and iPad mini, the TouchMix Control app closely follows the operational paradigm of the mixers. The iPad and the mixer GUI operate independently so it is possible for the iPad to act as an additional user interface that can display and control a set of functions completely different from those being controlled by the mixer’s screen and hardware. An alternate operation mode – Follow Mixer – is also available. With Follow Mixer engaged, the iPad follows the fader selection on the mixer. Touch a fader on the mixer and the iPad will display that channel’s Overview, EQ, Compressor, Sends or Gate screen. Touch a parameter on the iPad and the mixer’s rotary control will adjust it – or just drag on the iPad screen. When used without an actual TouchMix, the app acts as a demonstration of the mixer GUI and functionality but does not control audio in any way.
On the iPhone, the TouchMix Control app functions as a personal stage monitor mix control with the option to also remotely operate the mixer’s record and playback features as well as programmable user buttons. To prevent inadvertent adjustment of controls, the mixer operator may allow or restrict access to selected functions on a per-device basis.

TouchMix FAQ
Is TouchMix free?
Yes, TouchMix is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is TouchMix legit?
⚠️ The TouchMix app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
If I can’t control this mixer with my iPad, why would I use this? I wouldn’t. That is the whole point of this thing. Fixing this should be a priority for QSC. They don’t want us to be out here looking for a replacement for this mixer, do they?
Needs A Lot Of Work
App needs some serious retooling. Continuously will disconnect from the mixer even if you are standing right next to it with a great WiFi signal. Cannot recall presets on an ipad as the “YES” button is no longer available. Overall an extremely underwhelming app, I expect much better from QSC
Need update for iOS 17
iPad and iPhone with iOS 17 won’t connect to mixer now. Had no problems before iOS update. I think the QSC app needs an update to fix issue.
does not work with iOS/iPadOS 17
App will connect to a touchmix 16, but you can’t do anything with it.
I tried removing the device on the touchmix remote control setting and now the Touchmix does not see it anymore.
What a disgrace.
Compatibility Issues
This app does not work on all devices. I got a device that ran it properly, but there have been a couple times I updated my device and the app no longer worked, leaving me unable to run sound during gigs. Sometimes you have to update the mixer to fix this. It actually happened to me tonight. I will search for an update for the mixer and hope the issue has already been addressed, because i have another gig tomorrow.
Can’t get it to work with new iPad Pro.
It see’s my Samsung phone, My old LG phone but iPad Pro and it will just not see each other. I’ve tried over and over for 3 days now.. copying every step I do with my other two phones. Just will not see each other. Bummer..I bought the iPad ($1300) strictly for this purpose. QSC doesn’t work as advertised…not anymore anyway. Maybe with older operating systems…obviously…my two phones work as advertised.
App Qsc
Tengo una QSC TouchMix pero deberían ver la posibilidad de crear o agregar control para AUX ya que es más beneficio para el cantante o para el músico en general pueda subir o bajar el audio que quiera escuchar!
Cannot mix
I’ve been using this app since 2018 and have appreciated it.
Today, at a high stakes event, everything was grayed out.
The current update states that a mixer firmware is required.
However the latest firmware for TouchMix 16 is from 2018 and is what has been installed.
If I am correct, this app is not useable.
Hoping I’m wrong.
And was disappointed to suddenly encounter this issue today.
Last Update Broke App Functionality
Looks like an update was pushed out 2 days ago and now I can’t access fader control on iPhone or iPad. Fully connected - showing meters - remote control settings fully allowed for both devices - etc. i can control pans weirdly but no faders. They’re greyed out. And oddly when you’re on the record / playback page you can control the master fader but not when you’re just in the fader banks. Have used the app for ages and never had an issue like this. Assuming it has to do with the update they sent out two days ago (seemingly the first one in 5 years).
Please fin The app! Touch mix 16 gray out
App gray And no control (can see the meters only), please fix it!!! I bought the j5 device to Join the Network thru CAT5 Cable and even that Way stills trouble!
