How much does Tour Read Golf cost?
Tour Read Golf has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is 16.49 $.
I’ve worked with several players on their putting and it doesn’t matter how good your stroke is if you can’t read the greens properly. This app helps you dial in your green reading skills. The education and drills Ralph provides are also excellent. Highly recommend this app. Give it a try!!
Korn Ferry approved
I’ve been using this app for a year and a half now. I went from no status to having Korn Ferry status within the year. It’s helped develop my green reading ability to hole more putts. Highly recommend!
Awesome
This app has helped me teach our team members to be better green reads, both for direction and speed of putt. Over the 10+ years of coaching college women’s golf it has been the most helpful tool to improve putting abilities.
Green Reading Skills 🆙
Have been using this app for a couple years. It’s very easy to use and can immediately help you improve your green reading and putting stroke. Green reading is one of the most undervalued skills in golf. By working to accurately read the green one can then receive better feedback on their putting stroke / start line / speed. It’s all connected and it begins with green reading.
Accurate!
I’ve used Tour Read for a few years now and have loved it! It’s great practice to understand green reading and tangibly assess your feel. My green reading consistently gets better with every use.
No longer offering monthly subscription
I contacted customer support to see if the monthly subscription is still available, and was advised that the monthly subscription was available through the app…I didn’t see the monthly option when I tried to subscribe, sent two additional messages, no response. If that option has been discontinued, no problem…but a free week is not enough time to determine if I want an annual subscription.
Didn’t Work
The app is not clearly laid out. It did not work on the course. I got the slope % but the putt read did not work. The slope does not read beyond the 2/3rds placement of the phone. If it has a different slope on the last third of the line you would have to move the phone around. It is kind of clumsy to carry your phone onto the green and place on the correct spot. Your fellow players may not appreciate it.
They need an Android version
There ad says iPhone app and not tested with an iPad. I use it with my iPad which has a flat back. I let my subscription run out because of not having an Android app.
I really want to recommend this app…but…they don’t seem to be in a hurry to add an Android app.
The charts they offer do have break amounts for 7 to 14 stimp greens.
That alone does not help with uphill or downhill putts for pace. You need to use the app for that.
iPhone Camera Makes App Not Great
If you have an iPhone, the giant three cameras protruding from back of the phones cause the app to mis-read putts constantly as phone never actually is level due to this sticking out the back of the phone.
Used my Milwaukee level to make sure phone was on level surface.
Placed phone on that level surface, and app reads a front to back slope, and a left to right slope from thick cameras on rear of phone. Honestly pretty frustrating, because I think the app would be spectacular if this was fixed.
I suppose one solution for iPhone users would be to order a case that makes your phone lay flat when screen is facing up.
Good App, Bad subscription model
I will be using the app for two weeks and then canceling. I am not a fan of the $10 per month subscription model. Just let me purchase the app for $20 and call it good
