The Alaska TourSaver® App for smartphones works just just like the traditional Alaska TourSaver Coupon Book...for smart travelers looking to save money on trips to Alaska.
The App features a unique booking number, located at the bottom of each screen when you view an offer.
You’ll also find maps and GPS locations of TourSaver vendor attractions.
After downloading the free Alaska TourSaver App from the iTunes App Store, pick one of the three coupon packages to purchase: Statewide, Southcentral/Interior or Inside Passage. Afterwards, use it like the paper coupon book...and save some trees.
Instead of tearing out coupons from the print edition, the TourSaver® app allows you to press a "Redeem Now" button when a tour vendor asks you for a coupon.
IMPORTANT: You still need to call and make reservations. ONLY press “REDEEM” when you’re checking in on-site with the vendor. DO NOT press “REDEEM NOW” until you are prompted to do so by the participating vendor. Some vendors may ask to redeem and send a screenshot.
Your personal book number is located at the bottom of each coupon--embedded in the "Redeem Now" button. Tour vendor reservation phone numbers and specific tour information is available for each offer in the app.
The Statewide Alaska Coupon Package has 100 coupons for tours and hotels across the State of Alaska. Total value of savings for Statewide Alaska Coupon package is over $18,000. This includes a 20 percent discount on Alaska Airlines, for travel to or from the Lower 48 and within Alaska..with some restrictions. The coupons offer discounted or 2-for-1 deals on Alaska's top attractions. Total value of savings for SouthCentral/Interior Alaska Coupon package is over $15,000.

Great discounts and customer service
I don’t normally write reviews but the customer service was so good with this app that I have to give them a shout out. The discounts through here amazing for those traveling to Alaska and just the flight discount is worth the price of the purchase. I had a few issues with the app and the customer service was extremely fast at responding and helping me with my issue. If you are traveling to Alaska and planning to do a few things on their list this is a fantastic and worthwhile purchase.
Great deal and excellent customer services
I was able to save over $800! They answered emails quickly and it was very easy to use and book. Highly recommend.
Excellent App and Customer Service
I had some issues getting a coupon to work and customer service is stellar. It is insane what a great deal this coupon book is. I can’t believe people actually go to Alaska without the tourbook- if the do they’re spending thousands of dollars more than I am while using the book. Thanks so much!!!!
Longtime customer
“I’m kind of a non-tech old school guy when it comes to APPS, but thanks to some friendly help from Toursaver Customer Service, the TS APP is where it’s at! I live in Alaska and I ’ve been a Toursaver fan for ten years, but now we purchase a book plus a digital APP when we have visitors headed our way.”
Great customer service!
There was some issue with my login and sent email to customer service. Mr. Gary help sorted everything out quickly!
Love TourSaver for Alaska Travel!
I love the TourSaver! Not only are the deals in it excellent, the app is easy to use and their service is great in the rare occasions problems come up. I am an Alaska travel planner and I always recommend my clients get the TourSaver and I use it myself every year as well. Highly recommend!
App doesn’t work
Downloaded app, went to buy a package. Three lines aren’t marked what they are for data input. Entered cc info to buy package and it said need valid name and email to continue. Tried entering name and email only to get message that my name is not a valid promo code. So entered name and email again in other boxes to get same message again. Tried numerous times moving name and email to different spots to no avail. I have better things to do with my time than screwing around with someone else’s screw up. Was trying to save on tickets for boat ride and the gold dredge tour but will just pay full price rather than deal with this garbage app.
Not useful for travelers from outside AK.
The coupons can be useful for people who are residents of AK, but i don’t know how it works for outsiders.
Nowadays, we book everything online in advance. However, there is no promo code provided in this app. Instead, we have to show the page in the app when we are physically at the vendor to buy tickets.
1. The train tickets must have been sold out when we arrive there.
2. What if there is no capacity for our target activity?
I would only give a 2 star if no further instruction on how to use it to book tickets online.
Match your pricing with the physical book
The app is a bit clunky, and I couldn’t figure out which coupons were in each of the packages (in order to buy just a specific package). My main complaint, however, is that the coupon package through the app is more expensive (by $40!) than the physical book. This makes no sense to me! Why would you want to discourage folks from buying the app with a higher price tag when I can only imagine that the book costs you more in overhead? I installed and uninstalled the app within 15 minutes. If you’re looking for the discounts, it’s definitely a much bigger savings to buy the book.
Is this a joke??
You have to buy a package before you can even see what deals are offered in the package? Whoever dreamed this up should be fired.
