Not sure the pro version would be worth it without seeing what my exported track would be like.
Great satellite view, real-time gps following, can add notes and pictures, very easy to use
Good when it works
I like this app. Only had it less than a week. Downloaded it to record my walks while on holiday. I have a Garmin device the battery would not have lasted more than 6 hours on record and Outdoors GB which is limited to UK. Once you have checked the settings suit your requirements you just press the record button and go. You can close it and forget about it. Take photos as you go. I don't do lots of stuff with my iPhone during the walking i.e. No email (no data roaming just free wifi when available)no video. My battery was down to 25% after 10 hours or so exploring a city & parks. At the end of the day, open the app and press stop. Alternatively you can open it on the go and add notes or photos. When you review the journey I really liked the idea of adding photos which use your cameras photo position or time to add to the map of the trip. I uploaded photos from my Panasonic Lumix to iPhone camera roll first. It could be better if it was possible to share a walk with others who have the app eg on family sharing. I expect that might be a problem if you have lots of pictures added to the track. I'd like to be able to change the size/width of the track as it covers some of places. Maybe that will come in an update. I don't know what the difference is between the free and paid version is since the descriptions appear to be the same.
Its ashame the now fuel logging
Like it, but it's missing the ability to switch the speed distance etc into miles. Here in the UK I have no idea at a quick glance as to what speed etc
There are so many rubbish Apps available for iPhones and iPads. So let's start at the beginning with this one. It works, very well, and it hasn't let me down once, and believe me, it took months for me to buy it and longer to decide to leave feedback!!! If you want a superb tracking program this is it! If you want to see your tracks on maps, this is it! If you want to see your exact speed, height above or below sea level, exact direction, map reference, other co-ordinates, at any particular part of the journey, this is it! If you import your tracks into Google earth then you really begin to realise how excellent the original tracking by "TraceMyTrack" really is, how powerful it is and how accurate it actually is. I find this App superb in every way. In fact I am not too sure how much more information they could cram onto a trace of your route or indeed any point on that route! I would say there is a reasonably sharp learning curve, however that could be just me. Having said that though, the help files are informative and well written. A pleasant and refreshing App thar really does deliver on its description and then some!
Going for a walk? How about a cycle ride? Going on a drive or simply want to keep track of where you are and when - this is the app for you. Now been added to our list of in-house apps for field sales, this keeps us aware of where people have been and when. Now, if we have any issues where we need to prove where someone has been and when, it is there on the 'phone (or iPad). For general exercise this is brilliant as well. Keep track of where you went and how long you were out. For £0.69, this is well worth every penny.
