Video download stops at 95%? Photo 100% but can’t find. Optimistically hoping for an app upgrade. Will another app work?
I wish there was an option to put 0 star rating... This is the worst app ever. I returned the camera to Best Buy because of this. This app must have been written by a 4 year old! Selecting videos and hit download, on the left of the screen it shows the percentage, on the right it shows 25/100, which you assume you have 100 videos, but no, it's just a percentage also! So stupid. Then, at 95%, it stops... stayed 95% for 5min... the cancel button, the "X", etc, nothing stops it. Had to close the app and restart. Same happened with picture download. Totally USELESS!!! Apple should not allow apps of this quality on their site!
A worthless piece of software to clutter up your phone. Not one bit intuitive. Not one bit compatible with Rexing Trail Cam. @Rexing...STOP recommending it. STOP false advertising about your cameras wifi capabilities. UGH. So utterly disappointed.
This is the worse app, ever! If I could find my receipt , I’d return the camera. The reason I bought the camera was so I could retrieve my photos without walking to the camera. Directions say, if you can’t connect to WiFi.... Stand next to the camera ....ya...right, might as well retrieve the SD card too, because this app will NEVER work!
I downloaded this every thing loads up but can’t view individual photos, zoom on piks or save them
I'm upgrading my review to four stars. To initialize the WiFi after you have turned it on with the remote, you must go to WiFi in the the Settings app in your phone and select the H885 network. It seems this should be able to work automatically, but it doesn't. It can find the H885 net automatically if you have fixed the iPhone settings to do so, but can't select it. After connection to that network, launch Trail Cam and make the connection setting. Trail Cam still does lock up on the time of day operation setting change. All of the other settings seem to work after changing and stay enabled as long as you turn off the camera WiFi with the remote before exiting the app. The information screen (bottom of the three icons) is useful to tell you how many photos and movies you have, but if you have a great deal of them (100s) you might hve to turn it off and back on before it registers the counts. This screen also shows battery levels in percentage. If you have a lot of movies (100s), you can't do a mass deletion, but must select a chunk (20-50 at a time) for deletion. It takes a few seconds to delete these chunks of movies. Mass deletion of photos (100s) is possible, but takes a while. The WiFi is said to have 98 ft range. The WiFi download still works fairly fast at about 15- 20foot range. If you want to view a movie or photo, you must download it first. A tiny "Download" message will appear in the photo/movie shots once successful.
This application doesn’t work at all this was a joke the software doesn’t load and the network doesn’t work either to bad I can’t give it a 0
Very first time using this app with my h2 camera it completely locked up the app and I had to delete it and now reload. I guess at least I will be able to see if the camera has any pictures on it from a distance without opening but if it locks up when trying to download pictures 2 inches from it inside the house who knows if it will do anything out in the woods. Camera is great so far app stinks!
