The best app around for any movie buffs

The best app around for any movie buffs … I have been using Trakt for over 12 years now. The app is user friendly and gives an easy access to our movie database.

Easy to use and effective

I’ve tried a variety of these types of apps but Trakt simply just works. It’s easy to get set up and you’re immediately up and running adding movies and TV shows.

I like the app…

Incredibly lame of them to take previously free functionality (widgets) and shove it behind a VIP subscription in order to make it more enticing. Unsure about anyone else, but very easy way for a dev to not ever see a cent of my hard-earned money.

Please add podcasts integration

Please add podcasts integration - ability to rate by season and episode, just like for tv shows

Perfect

The best all around TV app there is in 2025. It’s free version is by far the best and the very optional paid version gives you unlimited access of all kinds, is able to easily connect to your streaming services if you want it to and it will automatically track everything you watch/watched. The VIP option allows you to use any other app that you want access to easily import your Trakt TV data. As of today’s date, this is by far the best TV streaming guide/Tracker/Lists/Recommendations and anything else you can imagine by far.

Overpriced!

An overpriced service. Someone failed to gauge the user base. Now your price increase is going to drive people to other services. Well done!

Wish search worked a bit better

Thanks to Devon Dundee from his podcast for mentioning this app! Love it. A great way to log my media consumption all in one place! I wish the search were more relevant, prioritizing recent films over older television. I wish there was runpee integration. I wish there were more community features.

Too much going on

This app is a visual and navigational nightmare. It’s distracting to use and often difficult to tell if you’ve marked a show as watched or what is actually up next. It feels like so many features have been bolted on over the years instead of thoughtful additions.

no care for original backers

I will be deleting my account after the most recent price hikes. I have been paying for a subscription for years because I respected the work the trakt team does. I was promised my annual rate was locked in and instead they are quadrupling my annual payment. This is disrespectful and unfair to someone who has supported this product for years. This is not worth $60 a year. Would give 0 stars if I could.
