Transit GO Ticket Reviews

Bad interface, no Apple Pay

You must go to settings before you purchase a ticket and manually add a credit card, otherwise when you purchase a ticket, the app will default to payment at a local retailer, which is absurd. There is no option at that point to use a credit card, so as you are hastily trying to purchase a ticket, you are faced with walking a half mile away from the bus stop. Obviously if I had added a credit card ahead of time it would have been fine, but it’s backwards to how every other app is designed. I overheard several groups asking the same question incredulously. Please just have allow credit card to be prompted at the point of sale. Do not default to local retailer.

Very frustrating that they can’t verify my email address. A browser-based login portal would be great

Sound Transit/King County Metro are notorious for resisting innovation. This closed-mindset extends to payment methods (for the few that actually pay to ride). Instead of accepting contactless phone payments like other metro systems, this app is what we get. It cannot even store payment or Orca Card information. Forgot or lost your wallet, but think you’ll be able to get to home or work with this app? Well…you won’t, because you need your credit card every single time you need a ticket.

Very poor product design. Took 10 min to buy a ticket.

Visiting seattle and wanted to hop on the bus and go downtown. Downloaded this app, used my Apple ID. Then opening the app i had to go thru a series of screens determining what ticket i want to buy for what transit system (meanwhile the bus is coming and im rushing to make the selection) I figured with my Apple ID it would have all of my payment information and billing saved. It did not. So I tried to copy my payment information from my password manager, however, it does not allow copy and pasting, so I have to manually enter every digit of my payment and contact information, which is already accessible via Apple ID. Once I finally added that to the app, it was still sending me to the local store to buy a ticket with cash. Back to settings, changed payment method to credit card, went back through ticket selection to purchase flow, clicked buy now. Had to re-enter my CVC??? (Back to password manager app), manually enter in, then finally have a ticket. Missed the bus. As a UX and product design expert I’d like to offer a bit of help for your devs to make the world a better place. Here’s the expected user flow: 1. Download app. 2. Log in with ID (apple google whatever). 3. Scan barcode at bus stop > it loads ticket in app. 4. Pay using digital wallet (apple google pay). Done. OR - an even simpler product experience: 1. Pay using digital wallet at front of bus. Done.

Paid for fast ferry tickets only to show up and be told the ferry is full. No refund option but tickets are good for 60 days after purchase. I don’t even live in the area, just came to watch a baseball game. Complete waste of 20$ that I’ll never be able to get back. How do you not offer refunds????? Terrible system and terrible customer service. Never using kitsap transit again.
