Transparent Classroom

I am a Montessori Teacher. I want to use this app on my iPad and have access to the Progress and plan tabs, to the conference reports we create for our students, and to the lessons I plan. I want to be able to jot down notes, etc. BUT NONE OF THIS IS AVAILABLE! I only have access to HOME, ACTIVITY, PHOTOS AND ABOUT. The Progress and Plan tabs as well as the Children Tabs are the most important. Please update so I can use it.

I wanted to have the convenience of an app to check my kids school progress but I was only able to somehow find the correct page once and haven’t found it since. The functionality is very limited and if more things were readily accessible and visible I wouldn’t have any issues with this app.

Pointless

This app is awful. I can sign in online, but it will not accept the same information on the app. Then I chose to hide my information and there it is in full display. I can’t believe that with these terrible reviews schools continue to use this. Awful.

I’m very disappointed in the update for the app. I much preferred the previous version - and even it was severely lacking. Uploading photos is now clunky, frustrating, and time-consuming. I love the capability when working on the laptop, but that is not always ideal. I love Transparent Classroom- I hope there can be some fixes to the app.

Although I checked the box to hide my cell phone and address, when I looked at the ‘Parents’ tab, there it was on full display. Along with the other parents who recorded their address and cell phones. I know they weren’t there when I initially signed up and the box to ‘hide’ was still checked so this happened sometime during the school year.

I’m disappointed in this app and the fact that our school uses it. As other reviewers have said, the functionality is extremely limited. You’re only able to see basic news updates from the school and photos. There are no notifications, attendance and program records, or additional information that you’ll find on the website version. this app is effectively pointless. You are better off, adding a bookmark to your home screen that points to the mobile web version which will give you the information that you should have in the app. I don’t know why the developers have not added the same functionality to their mobile app as their web-based version but until they do, I cannot in good faith, recommend this app for parents.

Not sure why it would be challenging to add daily tracking but without it this app is mostly useless.

I currently have the older version of the app on my phone and have just downloaded the new one. What was the point of the newer version of an app when you can’t upload any photos with it? The website says you can but only on the older version? A redundant waste of time and resources IMO.

It is sad that this app is what our schools is using (I guess there are no alternatives?). The app does not even let you see all updates the teacher shares. Generally have to go online to see any daily tracking and notes from the teachers. The teachers also seem to have issues uploading pictures and other updates as well. After a week of use I am deeply disappointed in the way I receive updated about my child.
