Traxxas Link connects wirelessly to the next generation TQi radio systems via Bluetooth®. Traxxas Link delivers exciting features to exploit the full capabilities of the TQi radio system, TQi Telemetry Expander, Traxxas Stability Management, GPS Speed Module, and DTS-1 Drag Timing System. Traxxas Link collects and records real-time telemetry data as you drive, and includes sharing via Facebook and Twitter. Traxxas Link features screen support for current iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad and is optimized for use with the Traxxas Link Wireless Module.
Only Traxxas gives you the power to unlock the full potential of the TQi Radio System with Traxxas Link, the custom application that integrates your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad with the TQi transmitter. This powerful app gives you complete control of operation and tuning of your Traxxas radio-controlled model with an intuitive, high-definition graphical user interface. Traxxas builds the world’s fastest Ready-To-Race radio-controlled models, capable of speeds that exceed 100mph. That level of performance demands precision control. Traxxas Link gives you tools for exacting adjustment and superior control while always keeping you informed of your model’s status and speed.
Traxxas Link makes it easy to learn, understand, and access the powerful tuning options built into every Traxxas TQi radio system. Control your Drive Effect settings such as steering and throttle sensitivity, steering percentage, braking strength, and throttle trim by simply touching and dragging the sliders on the screen or enabling the Multi-Function knob on the transmitter. You can also adjust Traxxas Stability Management in Drive Effects to suit your skill and driving style. With Traxxas Link, everything takes place live, on-the-fly, giving you instant feedback on the changes you are making. Once you’ve created the perfect control settings for your model, save them as a profile that you can restore later, use on another model, or share with friends. If the track conditions change, simply re-tune your Drive Effects and save them as new profile.
Once you equip your model with Traxxas Link telemetry sensors (some models may have factory installed sensors), the Traxxas Link dashboard comes to life with stunning graphics to report speed, battery voltage, RPM, and temperature. The app automatically detects sensors for easy set up and configuration. Up to nine gauges can be displayed. Set threshold warnings and log maximums, minimums, or averages. Use the recording function to document your dashboard view with sound, so that you can keep your eyes on your driving. The recordings can be named, saved, and shared with others.
Traxxas Link offers enhanced access to telemetry data with the innovative TQi Telemetry Expander. Once the Expander is installed and activated, Traxxas Link will automatically detect any connected smart sensors, including the optional GPS speed module for highly-accurate mph or km/h reporting. These smart sensors provide extended telemetry data to the Traxxas Link app, which is displayed on your existing dashboard layout. With the TQi Telemetry Expander, you have unprecedented, real-time, access to vital information as you drive.
Combined with the DTS-1 Drag Timing System, Traxxas Link provides a new level of racing excitement. Traxxas Link and DTS-1 allow you to capture all the nuances of Pro drag racing competition. Traxxas Link will fill in your timeslip with reaction time and elapsed time (ET) down to the millisecond and trap speed in actual miles per hour. Keep a run history on each of your models. Share time slips and set up race events with your friends. Dial in your ETs and any two cars can compete fairly, regardless of their top speeds! Race like the pros as you use staging strategy to pressure your opponent. Set up elimination rounds in Traxxas Link and share your results wirelessly. Excellent

Excellent features an options and very practical

Works great on the Maxx V2

I had some issues with my servo acting up after initial startup. Figured it might be voltage related, the Traxxas link was easy to install, updates available on the controller and TSM was done rather quick, fixed my issue with the firmware updates. I was able to see a few info, temp, voltage, speed/rpm. Plenty for my needs and works great with the app.

Ok app

I have a traxxas TRX 4 and I hooked everything up and I have very hot summer days about 110 a day to 100 and the battery voltage and speed and the motor temperature would not work… I also I have very decked out trx4 it may be because that I have the long arm kit and lights and costum bulky bumper I built my self. If I was you don’t get the app if you need theses things things.. NOW if you need it for races and all of that get it it’s spot on and it’s not very expensive

X-maxx 8s esc update 1of2 failed

Julys me on

United States

Updated only 1 of two updates, left my xmaxx with all green and red lights flashing, unable to do anything but steer. It kept giving me fail to update errors, be warned… if you update and only does half the update ur screwed. I’ll be calling them in the morning to hopefully solve this, then I’ll update my current review & hopefully tell ya if it was solved & how.

Updates cause your RC to fail

Project manager 89801 on

When this app causes your RC to quit working, remove the Bluetooth TQi module from your transmitter and your RC will work again. After the app updated the firmware on my TQi module in the transmitter, the RC no longer worked. ESC (VXL3) was flashing throttle trim error, receiver was flashing low voltage error. I contacted traxxas support and they said I needed to buy another receiver for my RC, but I could use their “lifetime warranty” to buy another one. They offered no other suggestion other than to spend more money with them. There is no way to get an old version of the app or an old firmware version according to traxxas. I removed the Bluetooth TQi chip from my transmitter and my RC worked again… indicating the problem is with traxxas firmware and not the receiver. Hopefully traxxas doesn’t sue me for this review like they do other people that review their products.

Great App, but a few odd things

Falcondragonslayer on

So I got the Link module a few days ago, for a few reasons. First, so I could set the steaming endpoints on my models (because when I try to use the TQi programming system on the transmitter, it makes the servo go haywire. Second, so I could run my models from the same transmitter without having to deal with the aforementioned TQi programming system. And lastly, so I could put telemetry on my Hoss to keep track of the motor temperature on hot days, since I don’t have the spare money to burn up a motor. I haven’t gotten the telemetry yet, so I can’t attest to how well it works, but so far the experience has been pretty good. The steering endpoints set without much problem, and it’s cool that I can now fiddle with different settings that were unavailable before (like throttle trim). My one issue I have with the app is the fact that there is no picture for the Bigfoot. I have two models: A 2 1/2 year old Traxxas Bigfoot, and a practically brand new Traxxas Hoss. Every other vehicle (including the discontinued E-Maxx) have their own picture, but for the Bigfoot there is nothing. It’s really weird and something I hope Traxxas will fix.

ESC Bricked

Forced me to update VXL6s and failed 2 of 2. Now I have to acceleration. Keeps failing, so basically my $600 truck is useless now.

1 single issue

Nate Rue on

It will not delete old models off of my vehicle list I deleted all inactive ones and every time I close and re open the app it brings it back. It’s VERY annoying but only thing wrong with the app. Very helpful with end point adjustments on servos. Please fix this

Inverts my throttle and steering when I open it

Jason Presagio on

United States

Bizarrely, this app immediately inverts my throttle and steering servos when I open the app. Nobody can explain why, so I’m not able to use it at all. Need to manually reverse the servos every time which is obviously a huge pain. Needs fixing. Two stars instead of one because the app looks cool and has a lot of functionality.
