Triggertrap Mobile

It works but there are lots of troubles and limitations that take the fun out of it. Hardware is rather expensive and the company behind it has lost any trust due to the scam they performed on Kickstarter with their Ada Project.

Doesn't work on autofocus mode I have a problem with some modes choosing focus on, the shutter doesn't release. I heard focusing sound but no shutter sound and it not work in timelapse mode at all. I try with Canon 500D and 5DM2. I paid for this apps and your dongle. This is quite expensive apps so I hope that Triggertrap will update and fix this problem soon. Thanks for great apps.

Just use the lightning to headphone adapter. The triggertrap with the attached cable plugs into it. I had it backwards using the small cable extension to headphone cable. I just wish this app was updated so we can use the iPhone camera so we can use external flash. I’d love to set the iso, shutter, aperture on the iPhone app and connect it with an external flash. Maybe use the slow motion video to determine the sync delay so when the app fires, it captures the flash! I’m sure more triggers would sell if that was possible!!!

Please update the app. It doesn’t do anything with my iPhone X using iOS 14.

We have used nearly every feature in this app with the TriggerTrap Dongle, TriggerTrap flash adapter, and Canon cameras. We have been able to catch pellets in mid-air as they exit a water balloon, photograph multiple angles at the same moment of a balloon bursting from a pellet, the HDR settings, time-lapse, and more. I have contacted TriggerTrap support asking for specific information regarding actual flash delay on my specific phone, the iPhone 6+. A response came immediately stating they would check into it and then a day later I had the average durations with airplane mode enabled and disabled. Really can't beat that level of service. We have used the TriggerTrap flash adapter with Yongnuo flashes and triggers without issue. I highly recommend this app and accessories for your photographic needs.

Very happily surprised this app continues to be updated although the hardware is no longer sold. It allows me to continue to enjoy my purchase years ago. Thank you!

Great idea, until you try to use it, and then find you have to buy a 30 odd dollar connector for your camera to work.

The BeeGees song popped in my head when I saw the update. This is awesome!

I’m able to open it on my iPhone X with no problem. I’ll have to run it through the different modes for a better eval, but thanks for making the effort to keep this app working. I still have the dongle so it will be nice to use again.
