TripDoc is the best travel app I have found in the App Store for doing one simple thing: make a map of where I'm going and add POIs to it based on web searches or manual address entry. Then once I'm there, I can pull out TripDoc and see what's nearby that I wanted to check out. It sounds simple, but trying to accomplish the same thing in Google Maps is an exercise in frustration. I tried out several other travel apps (free and paid) and none of them measured up to TripDoc for simplicity and functionality. I haven't had a chance to look at the new version much yet but at first glance it appears much more modern. I'm not sure a lot of new features have been added (which is perfectly fine with me; if it ain't broke, don't break it!). It seamlessly imported all my places from the old version though so I'm ready to go!
