I have used this FOR YEARS. I do research for road trips to see where I want to possibly go-restaurants -hotels-activities— then I add them to my trip doc. While I am ON the trip I can access where I want to go and route to it right from the app! It ROCKS. I don’t miss things I want to do or see because I can see what is in close proximity to where I am at. While I was in NYC /Manhattan taking the subway or walking it was awesome. Again, because I could see I was close to things like just a couple of blocks away…. It was a timesaver. Also routed to iconic things on Route 66 and was able to go to all the destinations efficiently. Because once we stopped someplace I could simply route to the next place. Easy. I HIGHLY recommend. Thank you TRIP DOC. Also we are converting a van and have many a road trip planned! Woohoooo!!!!
I can’t recommend this app enough. It is the only app that does what it does. Imagine having a list and map of all the destinations you’d like to visit in a new city, and be able to access it offline, and share it with friends. My Rome TripDoc has 128 cafes, museums, bars, restaurants, sites, and shops populated. I can also write personal notes about each place and check off the ones I’ve been too, which has been quite helpful when traveling abroad somewhere new. Everyone I’ve ever shared my TripDocs with has always mentioned how awesome it is. If you’re traveling to a new city, get this app!
The first TripDoc organized by country, state, city in clean look. I don’t like the chaotic look of TripDoc 2.
The original TripDoc isn’t compatible with IOS 11. It won’t let me access the app. I hope my data from the last 4 years isn’t lost.
I love this app! Recommended numerous times to friends and family. The only app I've found that organizes your trips by what you want to do in a particular city.
Bring back search function! I have been an avid fan of Tripdoc for many years and use it on every trip I take-Europe and the U.S. I also use it in my home city to keep track of restaurants and shopping that I want to remember. Great that we can use it in airplane mode! Tripdoc2 is a great upgrade including the addition of photos to jog your memory. I miss the ***search function*** to find key words that I've assigned to certain entries. Also wish we can group certain entries into a city in which the place is not really located. Overall tripdoc is the best travel app out there. You won't be sorry!
I've used TripDoc on many trips to Europe and the US. It is the best! I can save all the attractions, shops, restaurants and bars I visit and easily access the information offline. It's great to look back at all the places I've gone and keep adding to my city journals. I also reference the app whenever anyone asks for a recommendation. I love how much easier it is in TD2 to change a location with which the entry is associated once it's entered. The sync is also faster between iPhone and Safari. I also love that I can now mark a city as a favorite, which I do when visiting, so that it appears at the top of my city lists. Only request: please bring back the search function so I can quickly find places I've saved when browsing a particular city list. Thanks, TripDoc! Great update!!
Not a big traveler, but I have been using this app to plan my weekends around Seattle. Found a couple of new places I want to take the kids, and keeping track of all of them here. Been pretty useful! Not sure if this is how it works, but it would be awesome if new spots would show up based on local recommendations too.
I use it mainly as a handy way to remember my favorite restaurants in the major cities I travel to. Also, the “share” feature is an easy way to pass on my best-of lists to friends.
