Description

The Teaching Textbooks Algebra 2 app makes your TT course even better! Not only will your student enjoy math while learning independently, but, with the app, that learning can also take place on the go. Even when offline! Specifically, the app can be used offline for up to 6 lessons at a time. That makes it perfect for homeschool parents who need their kids to stay productive while the family is out and about during the day.
The app’s other features include…
• 137 audiovisual lectures that teach every core concept in the standard 11th grade curriculum
• thousands of problems that give students all the practice they need to master each concept
• automated grading and instant feedback for every single problem
• step-by-step audiovisual explanations to every single problem so students can see exactly what they did wrong when mistakes are made (This makes the program feel as if a tutor is at the student’s side!)
• parental controls that let you track your student’s progress
• the digitized version of the printed Teaching Textbooks Algebra 2 textbook (with a search feature and a hyper-linked index)
• no advertising or in-app purchase offers
• Internet connectivity is required, but you can remain offline for up to 6 lessons.

This app works well, some glitches but otherwise great. If possible could a feature to turn down the narrator so other apps can play at the same volume. Thx

Teaching textbooks is AMAZING!

I have tried many math programs and this one is definitely my favorite! It's easy to understand, and a great app for when you're on the go!

The Stickers are Uncomfortably Weird

This is a great app! Being homeschooled, the ability to do my math on the go is a must, but I do have a couple of suggestions. To start, the stickers are a fun encouragement after successfully completing a problem, but they can be very weird and strange and feel especially childish in A2. Next, especially since a lot of homeschoolers are switching to taking digital notes, I love the idea to have a sketch pad for problems, but it’s extremely finicky and doesn’t work with the palm rejection on my Apple Pencil. Other than that it’s a pretty decent app and I totally enjoy the unique and quirky interface, I hope as this improves you don’t “modernise” it like many others.

The voice

Honestly the app is fantastic, although I have one big complaint! No options to mute the speaker, it’s a unpleasant thing to hear every time you go on to a new problem!

Lesson 21 Lecture I absolute trash. Says click on the twos, well the the twos are not there. Says click on the Xs, guess what, the Xs aren’t there!!

These apps are great!

We travel a great deal and the app makes it so much easier to do math on the go! She just needs her phone and a notepad and she’s good to go. I like that I can log in and check what lesson she’s on faster than logging in on the laptop.

Make it an option to silence the voice prompt, and the app will get five stars from me.

Notable Problems

I love Teaching Textbooks, and this app is convenient for when I don’t have a computer with me but it’s not great if I’m being honest, the largest problem is for questions which require multiple answers, if you answer in a different order than is given, you get the question wrong even if your answer was right. Hugely frustrating. Not to mention it’s pretty slow... crashes have reduced significantly since the update though. This app has great potential, it really just needs more development.

HORRIFIC IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️

Buyer beware!! I’m begging you, please don’t spend the $70!! Total rip-off and garbage design. Plus, no updates!! Hooray!! I am ashamed to write this review because the versions before were amazing and I learned a lot better. They pretty much destroyed their reputation with these apps. If they fix all the glitches and log in errors than I will change my review. Original review: This app is all right when it doesn’t freeze. I was doing math for three weeks and one day It suddenly didn’t let me log in at all. I exited the app and the next day it had a loading icon. This icon was on for 4 days. I deleted the app and then downloading once more. I’ve had problems ever since. Update: I changed it to 1 stars because some of the math problems shown are different than the ones supporting the answer. When I had the math problem wrong, the solution was for a different problem that wasn’t on the math problem I did. I am very frustrated because It took me 39 minutes to solve a problem that was impossible because of a person who didn’t write the math problem right in their app. 2nd Update: I did my math, and I had one last problem I couldn’t finish, so I logged out and planned to do it later that hour. I logged again into the app, and all of my finished math problems(including 2 wrong ones) were deleted! I did the lesson all over again and finished it. It showed that I was done and asked me if I wanted to log out or go to the next lesson. I clicked next lesson. It froze for a millisecond, then went to the Home Screen on the app. I checked the lesson I just completely finished. It was as if I didn’t even start the lesson. Explain that please, Because it isn’t the internet! I am asking you, the developer, to go back, get your stuff together and update it now! I have problems with this math app ever since I bought it and it wasn’t cheap! I am in high school and I my teacher can’t tolerate this any longer!👎
