If you’re a vinyl junkie, you want your music to sound exactly as the artist intended - and that means 33⅓ RPM, not 35. Previously, checking your turntable for accuracy was difficult and inexact. But no longer. Measuring your turntable’s speed is now as simple as setting your phone down. Just start Turntabulator, place it on your platter, and start spinning. In as little as a few seconds, Turntabulator will adapt its output to your turntable, revealing its analysis in a stabilized rotating display that has to be seen to be believed. No twisting your neck - just read and be delighted.
Through the power of Musical Analysis with Gyroscopically Indifferent Calculations (MAGIC), no gyroscope is required, so Turntabulator works just fine on older devices. In fact, the results are more accurate than the gyroscope would provide.
Turntabulator offers two measurement modes. Quick Mode will give you results within 0.1 RPM very quickly, typically in 15 seconds or less. Or, if you’re a perfectionist, use Exact Mode for more precise results, typically reaching 0.01 RPM error or less within one or two minutes.

Needed some reassurance that my Pro-Ject Genie 1.3 was running true after a house move and stumbled upon this app. Tried a strobe disc too and got the same result, so very pleased for a low cost. Great UX too!
no 78rpm
needs 78rpm mode. otherwise good
It works.
Be careful when using this on an iPad. On a phone, it’s ok. The phone is small enough to lay flat on the platter. My iPad however, had to be carefully laid against the spindle to fit and avoid hitting the tone arm and I had to watch it didn’t slip on my acrylic platter. I got 33.5 on my Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. That’s good enough for me. I would have preferred it to be priced at £1 max, though.

Indispensable for the vinyl junkie.
Fantastic. Works just as described. One point to note, though. If your turntable has an off-board pod motor and a long belt around the periphery of the platter, you need to allow a few hours playing time for the belt to settle if it is removed and replaced. I speak from experience.
Not for use with iPad
Really p*ssed off. After seeing in the notes section of this app that it's iPad compatible, I went ahead and paid for this app. First thing you see when you start the software is a warning not to use it with the iPad! What?!? This should be made clear before ordering! OK so it's only £1.50 but its still useless to me and a waste of money as I only own an iPad not an iPhone. Not impressed!
Broken
Great app that has long stopped working On iphone running IOS 14.
Works great!
I was able to dial in the speed at both 33.3 and 45 in just a couple minutes. It’s also $13 cheaper than the other one.
Intermittent?
Worked perfectly once and now refuses to detect speed. Consistently says, "Interrupted" Very annoying.
