Twinkl’s Done It Again!

I have been loving Twinkl’s recent focus on STEM with the Little Red and Architect and they managed to yet again blow me away. This Robotics app is amazingly constructed and after downloading it initially for the younger ones I must admit to tinkering on it myself! I had a lot of fun watching the kids swapping and changing their robots and coming to a consensus as to why something wasn’t working and then eventually completing some of the easier challenges. It is also worthwhile to mention that the User Guide they coupled with the game is immensely helpful. It is accessible from the Help button, where the free play option is (Someone had trouble finding it?) and has made our attempt at programming our bots, that bit easier. We should hopefully successfully tackle the Line Following Challenge soon! Thanks Twinkl and don’t slow down just yet!

Too confusing with no instructions

With virtually no instructions to help you have any idea what each of the parts does or how they interact with each other, how this is supposed to be taught to KS1 I don’t know. If you put wheels on it, it should move in a straight line. Instead it just spins around. Nothing tells me why it does this or how to correct it, I’m just left to guess and assume. Throw in a guide to make it more user friendly.
