Two Dots Reviews

Game Play good - advert level bad

nandp-h on

Over time two dots has become worse and worse in trying to get you to spend money on boosts etc and forcing you to watch ads. Deleted

I love two dots.

I discovered Two dots soon after it was released and I’ve been playing it ever since- I think it’s seven years now - I’m at the top of the tree where ever that is- level 4000ish. With patience and skill you can almost always win a level without an inapp purchase. I haven’t bought anything for probably 6 months and then it would have been a gold mine for £2.99 just for the fun of zooming through new levels. New levels are released in batches of 25 every couple of months, some are interesting, some are a bit samey, but that’s fine. It might take me a day or so to complete a batch of new levels, but that’s because I generally refuse to pay for helps. I’m not as keen on the side games. The scavenger hunt gives you two free levels but you do have to pay to unlock the other two- so I never finish those but I play when I’ve finished the levels. I’ve never had the glitches that others report, mine is always spot on. I do have to re-sync with Facebook occasionally. There are adverts but they are optional and generally used to buy something. Yep, two dots is my go to non violent game when I want 5 minutes chewing gum for the brain.

Disappointed

I can’t get past the deliberate need to spend real money in game to advance or clear stages and frankly to do that i will be far too expensive! I’ve been playing for many months now but have had to put it down for weeks at a time out of sheer frustration, this is due to my needing to purchase in game currency which I just cannot afford but also the fact it’s even needed as much as it is to play your games really annoys me. The levels are definitely deliberately hard so we need boosters to clear levels with the cost to do that I’m afraid I will be leaving this game soon! I’ve had enough! I see several other users stating the same thing and I feel it’s a great shame you just aren’t listening! Today I saw an advert on social media and I’m also shocked it was showing puzzles I know aren’t in this game! Not sure if you’re intending to introduce those but the advertising is premature if so? I feel like I’m being conned and it doesn’t matter how nice it looks and sounds I get no satisfaction or enjoyment out of knowing these faults with the game! Most normal people will not be able to afford to play this game you would need to be wealthy frankly!

No skill required but a lot of luck

PapasWorld on

It’s a nice simple concept ruined by an overload of unnecessary rubbish. What is going with that map screen for instance? Wow, it’s like the devs have puked pastel crayons on the screen. Also, you’re not going anywhere unless you spend a lot of money on power ups - the levels are clearly rigged. An example is where you need say, 30 reds but 30 reds don’t actually appear so how are you supposed to finish it if the resources are not actually there? That’s not down to skill, it’s pure luck so you *have* to buy the power ups to proceed. Very much like the carny ‘games’ you find in arcades nowadays. Looks nice, no substance. Avoid.

The best game in the world

TDsweetpuff on

I randomly decided to read the reviews as I waited for a new life on the game. I thought it would have an overall rating of 4.9 or something but instead of found plenty of negative reviews. This is why I’m writing this… Plenty of reviews state that you can’t play without paying money and people get stuck on level 100 or so because you have to pay. It’s not true, it gets tricky but it’s doable. I’m on level 1072 and I never paid a penny though at this point I think about how I’d like to contribute financially to the developers for creating the best game in the world (I’m just worried I’ll start depending on it and will stop using my brain and will instead keep buying things to help me pass the levels). It can get addictive but it’s our responsibility to control it instead of blaming the game. This game is like my best friend (no, I’m not lonely, I have a family, I’m very present with them and I have friends and all). It’s just all about finding balance. I love you TWO DOTS and I highly recommend this game!

Candy Crush (Zen Capital Edition)

A lovely game, spoiled by the ever-present monetisation. As you progress, tapping to dismiss all the offers to spend more money become like hacking through a forest with a penknife. Not as bad in this respect as Angry Birds or Plants v Zombies, but then I probably didn’t play the game for long enough. No doubt on later levels it starts asking for your vital organs to complete your ‘win streak.’ Praise to whoever conceived of and developed this game. I hope their greed rots in hell.

Level 4451 is bugged

Win streak was allowed. Obviously it ruined the tutorial. The it kept asking me to connect dots with different colour.

Update not working

I have been waiting for your new levels for ages but the new update for new levels is not working and is totally frozen. Really disappointed with this latest update

What is going on with the game today? Certainly not working.
