How much does Tyme 3 cost?
Tyme 3 has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is £106.07.
Tyme 2 was the best version of the app. And not because it was a one-time purchase, I'd gladly pay high subscription price for a usable app. But Tyme 3 is becoming worse with each version. Gone is the interface where the search field was visible, now it's hidden in a separate modal. And that modal also obscures all search results.
What's incomprehensible is that with a recent version you have to do more taps to even open that modal since it can only be invoked through a menu, which previously wasn't there and wasn't needed. Now instead of a single tap on a search field to find a task, I need to do at least three taps and go through increased mental burden of modals and menus. Same for starting and stopping a task. Everything is buried under and modals and menus, and layout on those is frequently broken.
Despite the developer's suggestion that a keyboard shortcut can be used, this isn't applicable on the iPhone, or on the iPad that doesn't have a keyboard attached.
Waste of time

Well considered
There are many time tracking applications available, and quite a few (even some popular ones) cost less. I have found, however, that none manage to cover my requirements better than Tyme. I run it on all Apple platforms.
The personal use tier used to be free
Having to pay for personal use for an app that has many free alternatives doesn’t seem in any way logical to me as a former user.
Tyme 2 was great. Subscription model for Tyme 3 lost customer
Tyme 2 was a simple and good app. I can't reinstall as it's been removed from the app store and tyme 3 requires a paid subscription. 3.49 per month isn't worth it compared to the one off cost of Tyme 2.
Disappointed now I have to find a new tracker.
Dissapointed with new Release and forced deprecation of old app
Having been a very long time user of this app, I have been looking forward to adopt and use the next version of Tyme for my daily tracking and work. (Personal use, not team)
Unfortunately from the start of using the new app, subscription licensing is prompted (As it’s in read only mode) and made very visible which is fair enough but still not ideal. Didn’t think that they would have pushed this to personal users considering I’ve already paid £30+ just to use it across devices. Even buying a new licence at a reasonable price and not upgrading would have been very much appreciated.
Compared to Tyme 2, there has been a slight UI update which was nice to see but didn’t really improve the app overall, still had issues when testing the app for recognising time tracking changes across devices as well as it having issues when trying to navigate the UI on iOS devices (Notably, the screen jumping about when navigating up and down due to the title of the windows being pulled into the top title bar).
Overall, it’s a GOOD APP, but the support and let down of Tyme 2 has made me lose faith in this app and it’s team. As there are no public future plans for the app and from the experience of them removing already included features* in Tyme 2, I don’t feel comfortable investing in an app that the developers feel happy inhibiting for their next product.
*They removed already existing features from Tyme 2 so that they’re only available in Tyme 3... (Notably the Shortcuts integration to automate timers, can still old use Shortcuts but cannot integrate it into new ones, as of writing this it’s still advertised as a feature on the App Store listing but not on the website).
An sich nett aber Key-Features funktionieren nur sporadisch
Für eine Zeiterfassung ein echt nett gemachtes Tool, aber besonders die Automatisierungsfunktionen sind eher schlecht umgesetzt. Geofence funktioniert ab und zu mal, aber eher nicht.
Sehr nervig ist auch das wenn man es mit dem Mac gleichzeitig verwendet entweder das iPhone oder der Mac alle 5 min fragt ob man die Zeiterfassung stoppen will.
verschlimmbesserung nach Update
ich mag es nicht wenn bei einer an sich echt guten App nach dem Update gute Features nicht mehr funktionieren und sie somit umständlicher in der Handhabung wird ... WARUM macht ihr das?
EDIT: sofortige Nachbesserung des Supports und sehr netter Kontakt - jetzt passt wieder alles und die App für mich als MacUser das Beste Zeitmanagement-Tool auf dem Markt!!!
Gut aber…
Klasse App. Hier jedoch einige Verbesserungsvorschläge:
1. Möglichkeit die Reihenfolge der Projekte nach der gesamt Dauer sortieren zu können wäre klasse.
2. Obwohl ich die App täglich benutze, muss ich mich alle ca. 2 Wochen erneut anmelden. Dabei werden alle meine Projekte durcheinander gewürfelt und das geofencing wird bei allen Aufgaben deaktiviert, sodass ich alle wieder einrichten muss.
Wäre super wenn dies zeitnah behoben werden würde. Dafür Schimmel vielen Dank vorab!
Im Grunde eine sehr gute App…
… mit umfangreichen Funktionen. Das Erfassen der Zeiten könnte aber viel einfacher und übersichtlicher erfolgen, so dass die Gefahr einer Fehlerfassung minimiert wird. Auch sollte es in gewissen Fällen eine zusätzliche Bestätigung beim Löschen von Daten geben.
