The keyboard would be nice, however it does not work on most apps(WhatsApp, Signal etc.), not even on Spotlight, App search and many more. And now when I'm typing, I've noticed that when you switch from keyboard to special characters, the button changes into emoji button, which forces me to slow down to get back to regular keyboard. These misshaps are innaceptable at best.
Autocorrection keeps correcting utter nonsense (just in this line keeps = jeeps) It does (doe's) not learn (learns) anything and instead (unsteady) makes (markers) you sloth slow (slows) as you have to correct (corrects) every (emery) other (mother) word which you by the way spelled correctly in the first (firsts) place (placer) Absolute garbage. Wasted money (honey)
I got very excited by this app, hexagon letters are very cool, user interface is great, tutorial and game to learn the layout are perfect. I went ahead and immediately purchased yearlong access in my excitement. Well, after I tried to use the keyboard in various messaging apps, I discovered that it turns unresponsive quite frequently, and is unusable half of the time I'm trying to type. I had to write this review with a different keyboard. If this gets fixed, I will happily return. Thank you for what you've done so far.
I went through many alternative keyboards. Then spent some time with SwiftKey until I started to worry about privacy because it was acquired by Microsoft. At that time I discovered TypeWise and my search for a daily use keyboard finally ended. TW is the best and its hex layout is something I am still amazed by how fast my body adapted to it. The only thing I would chnge is that TypeWise does no have an adaptive layout. It has a fixed layout geometry that is not changing according to user's behavior. This gets one star down for me.
I really like the bigger hexagonal buttons, two spacebars and mainly all the swipe gestures that indeed makes the typing faster. The only thing that is a bit frustrating is the autocorrect. It seems to me a bit aggressive and corrects back the words that had been manually corrected by me and sometimes corrects words that are even correct. Maybe I use it wrongly but it seems to me that I have already experienced better autocorrect elsewhere.
I have the pro version. The size of the buttons cannot be increased. how can i change this? the problems are after the update.
Automatic corrections are too slow/lagged which makes typing error prone and uncomfortable. Switching between languages is cumbersome. I also miss real (“typographic”) quotes, elipsis (…), dashes (–, —) etc.
Quite good and fast keyboard with nice UI and decent privacy policy. The dictionary and predictions work quite good. I mean it is not great not terrible. Unfortunately the keyboard does not contain many characters such as an ellipsis, middle dot, arrow, upper and lower quotation marks etc. That makes the keyboard hardly usable for typographical correct typing. I found no way to quickly switch to another keyboard, so I basically cannot use it. In certain apps the keyboard did not worked properly. I miss keyboard management support (quick paste). Looks promising, the overal UX is better than the tragic stock, so I will definitely check it again in the future.
