This is an amazing app a must to any language learning person
Incredible app
Amazing for learning German has repetition which is fantastic for learning
It was all going so well until we got to the snakes
This app worked pretty well, with unique icons for every word, until they seemed to run out of ideas on reaching a batch of words describing locations of things. Each picture was represented by a snake and a box or a couple of snakes sitting on a box, or dangling over the side of a box, or in a box, or beside another snake or beside a box. Gerade, which means straight, was a picture of a snake sitting on a box looking like a pound sign, (not particularly straight). And one snake next to another snake could be in Der Nähe (nearby) or In the past. Unten, which means at the bottom of something, was just a snake in a box, couldn’t that mean innerhalb (inside) as well ? Winzig (tiny) is our friend the snake again… this time outside of the box. Could that not be a graphic for “outside” ? Surely they could show something with a magnifying glass if they wanted to depict ‘tiny’, or a microscope for ‘microscopic’ instead of this obsession with snakes. The app is a really good idea, I like the app, but I get the feeling some of the icons were rushed on a Friday afternoon. Up to the snake obsession, it was good 🙂

Amazing
Maybe a couple more things , I.e for numbers would be good to have a mode where you count from one to ten rather than a random order, and if there was a button you could pick which allowed random words you have learnt in the past to come up more just to double check. Otherwise it is amazing. I am going to Germany in October therefore brought the three month subscription which has been so so helpful. I love the way I am taught here, it’s so aesthetically pleasing too which definitely adds to the experience and I love the set out :)
