Great off line reference

Can't do without it off line in Spain. So useful to learn a new word on the go.

Excellent offline translator

It has pretty much all the words you ever need. Very extensive, easy to use. Highly recommend and you don't need to be online.

Excellent dictionary

Very useful. Not only gives you English and Spanish verbs but also numbers. Just type in number in figures and it will tell you the Spanish or English. Extremely useful declensions of all the tenses of the verbs. When you type in word it will also suggest the word you are looking for which is similar to what you typed. Best of all works without Internet or 3G connection Muy útil. No sólo le da verbos en inglés y español, sino también números. Sólo tienes que escribir el número en cifras y le dirá el español o Inglés. Declinaciones muy útil de todos los tiempos de los verbos. Cuando se escribe en palabras sino que también sugiere la palabra que busca, que es similar a lo que ha escrito. Lo mejor de todas las obras sin Internet o conexión 3G

Robo

This dictionary is APPALLIIG. I feel particularly strongly about this since this dictionary replaced another Ultralingua product which I had paid for and was much better than this. This changeover happened at an update, with no prior warning given.

Not impressed

Most expensive app I've ever bought. According to the high quality of some free or up-to-two-pound apps that I've previously bought I was expecting a lot from this one. First search I make: "cumbersome", the word is not in the dictionary. Really disappointed and pretty annoyed.

Fantastic

This app has helped me so much with my Spanish. It saves a ridiculous amount of time compared to using a massive dictionary to find words. Also, it tells you idiomatic phrases which always go down as a treat with the natives. Great app!!

rubbish dictionary in my opinion

I recently bought this mainly for the verb conjugations, which are useful, although each time I have tried to look up a word in the dictionary, it tells me that no entries matching my word were found. Luckily I don't need to rely on this dictionary . I find that the Oxford dictionary is far superior.

OK, but Collins Pro looks better

I bought this instead of the very similar Collins Pro app by the same company to save myself a couple of pounds. After looking up the examples given in the other app's preview screens (band and buscar) I can say that the dictionary entries in this app are inferior, giving less detail and context and lacking usage notes. That's not to say that this app is bad - I just wish I hadn't had to spend £12 to compare it to the £15 app I now wish that I had bought instead. I hope this review helps others making the same choice.

Update bug now fixed

After update v1.3 crashed this app, am pleased to report new update today workd. Icon now loads! Thanks for fixing. I love this app and use it daily.

Simply the best

I've got both the Spanish and the French apps and they are superb. I use them when I'm travelling and also to help my teenage son with his homework. The conjugation tool is awesome. One of the most expensive apps available but also one of the best value for money apps on the market
