Ulysses Mobile

There’s a lot of markdown editors out there but when you dig past the first few layers you start to feel their weakness. Ulysses is simply a more mature app: fast, stable, reasonable subscription price and there’s a steady flow of updates letting you know they’re not messing around. What's more is their customer service is always fast and helpful. Worth it!

It is really frustrating that it works well with the Mac and iPhone but not with an iPad. I cannot select different folders.

Really like this app, but I still decided to unsubscribe — it's simply too expensive, esp compared to competitors like Bear. They both have their advantages (Ulysses can generate a table of contents based on subtitles, which Bear can't — very useful) and I would like use both, but I can't justify the cost. Also, the syncing is sometimes delayed, unlike eg Bear and Drafts.

Har du letat dig igenom distraktionsfria skrivarappar så behöver du inte leta längre. Den här appen är underbar och den fungerar sömlöst mellan alla OSX och iOS enheter. Använder den dagligen och den förenklar min vardag så mycket. Jo den är på prenumeration, och helst hade jag velat köpa lifetime, men sen utvecklar de hela tiden produkten och den blir hela tiden bättre. En fantastisk vardagsglädjehöjare. Rekommenderas!

Seems like a great app, but a heads up in the description saying that it’s all ‘Read-only’ unless you pay would have been nice.

Great app with affordable Student pricing. Only downside is that it’s hard to integrate with some of the best reference managing systems.

This app is simply amazing! It handles everything and does it really well! You can create groups of projects and I have one called notes, so not only can it handle all your writing needs but also your note needs, you can even open a new note as soon as you open the app. But it does so much more, all edits in plain text and you can live preview what the export will look like with no hassle and no time delay. It’s just effortless, it gets you just writing and you can worry about formatting everything later. Tagging feature is nice, they keyboard quick keys are amazing! And the iOS app is just as powerful as the mac app and they sync effortlessly through iCloud! This is now my only note and writing app, I don’t need anything else.

So I was okay with this stupid company releasing this new version with subscription model and all. Because the app I paid for twice, maybe even three times? iPhone,iPad and Mac. Was still working and I felt no need to update. It had all I was in need of. But now with the recent iOS update the app just stopped working, I can’t write. Stupid f company that you cannot trust...

I paid for the old version and subscribe on the new one. I usually hate subscriptions but for Ulysses I make an exception. It’s very useful in my work as a journalist and saves me so much time. I find it much easier to understand and use than Scrivener.
