Really good - makes meal planning really easy!

You have to dig for the fact that to use this app after 30 days you need a subscription, the price for which is buried. So it’s a good app with lots of potential but you are going to be disappointed to learn - after adding many recipes- that the pricing is far more than more developed and capable competing apps.

This is an awesome app, plain and simple. I love the ease of uploading recipes to the app, the layout of the recipe once it’s in the app and just the fact that now I have my recipes on my phone with me all of the time so when I go to the store and decide to fix something in particular I have the recipe(s) at my finger tips. I only wish it would also upload the “authors notes” to the note section in the recipe on the app as well so I didn’t have to invest the time to copy/paste them in to the app myself. Other than that, this is definitely a top 5 app.

I want to like this app. It has a lot of good features and has pretty much everything I want In a recipe app. I like the family sharing features. However whenever scrolling through all the recipes I added to a recipe book it sometimes will not scroll then crash. Additionally sometimes when I try to click on a tag to sort by it the app crashes. This makes usability hard when trying to find a recipe to make.

The usability and simplicity that this app makes me cry happy tears every time I use it. The interface is just clean and intuitive, unlike a lot of other recipe apps. It does everything I want and it’s so easy to import my recipes and tag them, which makes meal planning and prep a whole lot easier and less dread-worthy. I constantly rave to my friends and family about this app. Best $$ I’ve ever spent on the App Store. Thank you creators/ developers <3

I consider myself a good home cook and for years I have struggled to stay consistent with meal planning, grocery shopping, and executing a meal plan. Umami has completely changed the way I plan meals for my household and has helped save a considerable amount of time and money in the short month or two I’ve been using it. Centralizing all of my online, family, and personal recipes into one place has made it easy to visualize my options, make changes that I have implemented over the original recipe, and sort into relevant categories. Having the ability to easily export my data is one of my favorite things about the app as well. The meal plan feature makes it simple to easily shop for the coming week and the grocery list allows me to easily add ingredients I need and disregard those that are staples or I already have. On top of all of this, the ability to share ALL of these features with my wife and have her be in charge of adding a meal or two to the plan and review our meals for the week is incredible. It’s not often that I come across software that literally changes my life in this kind of way. THANK YOU to the developer for making Umami so awesome!

I’ve been searching for an app that does all the things I want it to and this one is it. Multiple recipe books, importing is a breeze and the interface is beautiful. I absolutely love this app.
