The Harz used to be one of the most important mining regions in Europe. Today you can visit former mines, exciting museums and old mining towns on more than 200 km². During numerous hikes you can discover the wonderful Harz landscape for yourself. Or get to know the impressive Upper Harz Water Management System on a guided tour: you can find out here why the old ponds, water ditches and watercourses were needed for mining.
The app shows you all the sights and tours of the UNESCO World Heritage in the Harz at a glance. You can plan your excursions individually and let yourself be navigated from one destination to the next.
