Description

The Unholy Society is a point-and-click adventure game inspired by 80s and 90s action movies as well as comic book series that presents a world captured by the forces of demons and monsters. A life among demons and terrifying monsters is a dangerous thing. Fortunately, you play the main hero – exorcist Bonaventura Horovitz – whose mission will be to save the world.
Our protagonist traverses various locations, talks to a number of characters and solves puzzles. While exploring locations, Bonaventura Horovitz will fight battles (exorcisms) with the forces of evil. During exorcist attacks our hero will set off on the quest to duel with demons and monsters with a crucifix. The duels are limited in time, so as Bonaventura Horovitz you will have to show good reflexes and perceptiveness.
Unholy Society features:
- Compelling dark atmosphere
- Comic book graphics
- Distinctive and unforgettable characters
- Immersive dialogues
- References to popular movies, books and games
- A game that you play for the thrill
If you like to play horror games, hidden object games or you are simply looking for a moody point-and-click adventure game that will draw you in completely, you’ve come to the right place. Unholy Society is the perfect game for you.

Unholy Society Reviews

Five dollars for an extra 30 mins of gameplay

Was money wasted. Seems a bit deceitful. Even says on the menu page “buy full game”. You’re actually paying five bucks for one chapter’s worth of gameplay. Very disappointed.

Mixed feelings; worth a try.

There’s a lot to love about this game and if you give it a shot you’ll see why its devs bet it would get everybody hooked: like a lot of the new Poland its anti-Gnostic-gnostic-Xtian rebel heartthrob protagonist is oozing coolness and maturity, the music is eargasmic, gameplay is novel, and art style fresh and contemporary. I see why sentiment though was polarized, and the negative reviewers are right to say they feel disappointed by how short this was before shaking your pocket down. It’s a bait and switch too many play here on the App Store, and it backfires. Devs should take heed and clearly label this as a teaser or Demo only to give you an intro feel for what is a paid game. I might shell out te $5 to support this studio just as a high five for the quality effort they’ve put out, but the current approach betrays them by hinting that there might be not so much content in the first act either to have given away more in this one. Give it the benefit of the doubt and try it out. You won’t regret the download and fun for a couple of minutes. They deserve at least that much for the A+ effort.

Really weird fighting sequence

It just doesn’t make sense. The first fight was really hard to learn and I spent hours on it. The point and click was also a little wonky but the graphics were generally pretty good

Not For Free

I would like to preface that I do not expect games to be free, nor am I upset this game costs money simply because money. My complaint is more that it’s not explicitly stated that you’ll have to pay money to unlock chapter one, and what’s offered for free is… limited, to say the least. A short prologue that gives a glimpse into what the game is like, but not enough to let me decide I want to spend $5 on it. I’d much rather the creator get rid of the “free” and list it for $5. What mechanics are shown are, however, promising. The game looks good and plays well, and didn’t seem to lag. The fighting system, though explained rather poorly, was intuitive enough. The story seems interesting and engaging. So yeah, 2/5 because the game looks good, I’d just wish they’d been more upfront about the price.
