Firstly I’d Like To Apologise For Labelling The App A Scam… I Spoke To A Man Called James Today And My Refund Was Sorted Immediately. The Length Of Replies Before Speaking To Him Were Days A Part And Not Very Informative Hence Why I Had Thought It Was A Scam Vague Answers And No Real Response To What I Was Saying Or Requesting. James Sorted This Within An Hour…
This app is AMAZING I love it and it has helped me grow my music
Don't normally list my songs for playlisting but thought I'd give it a go for one - reluctantly paid a very unwelcome £7 for my song to be rejected for no real feedback as to why You don't get your money back if this happens, neither do you get the chance to submit it anywhere else. It's a complete waste of time and money at times. Do yourself one better and get your songs in free playlists with better audiences and more local reach. No point racking an audience in London if you're Newcastle based
the truth is that i have not found my experiences of this app to be positive. the first time my song was rejected and then again with the second attempt. the developers of the app were good and spent time with me trying to get my song on a playlist - but by myself it appears to be an impossible task, i think if i am paying, then the song should be placed somewhere, otherwise it feels like a bit of a lottery for my third attempt i pitched a song and was informed as per usual it should take 7 days to get a response from the curator, well, 16 days later, nothing i don’t see how i can add this this app to a campaign for a new release as it appears to be bit of a non event for me so, unfortunately i won’t be using again
I have seen quite a few negative reviews on this app but I have had the complete opposite experience. Unhurd has been a brilliant and essential tool in my music marketing. Out of 4 Spotify playlists I picked to pitch to, my song landed on 3 of them. I think people who use this app need to understand that you are not paying to get onto a Spotify playlist as this goes against Spotify’s terms and conditions. You are paying to pitch your song to a curator, who will then decide if they think the song is appropriate for their playlist or not. Yes you can pitch to curators yourself if you can find their emails, but I found that this was such an easy and effective way to pitch to curators and saved me so much time it was 100% worth it. Pitching takes a long time and Unhurd cut this time in half or more. I look forward to using more of Unhurds tools and explore more of what the app offers.
So there’s a policy that I never knew, but using external ways of pitching a songs to playlist is not accepted for Spotify, I will email receiving that my son got removed due to the fact that with some of these playlist they can’t determine what shoes, shoes or bots, don’t take the risk of having a song removed
I paid for 10 different songs to be submitted for selection over a short period of time and none got approved. This App is nothing but a scam I would suggest you avoid.
£6.99 per playlist you want to pitch too when you can contact/email the playlist curator individually. The only way I'd use this app is if I was guaranteed a refund of my £6.99 if it's not added to the playlist!
So it's £6.99 for your track to be included on a playlist, sounds great! What they don't mention is.. if your submission is rejected, the fee 'goes to the curator for the time they listened to your track' . How do we even know it got listened to? There are enough dodgy ads out there promising organic Spotify plays and growth, this seemed genuine. It is an absolute con. Dragon's Den? Dragon's con.. AVOID THIS
