University of Iowa Rec Serv Reviews

Access to app

lxstrath on

This is a very helpful app EXCEPT for the painful process of opening the barcode scanner each day! Can you please add Face ID or some way to save your password, so that l don’t have to type in my username and password every time I enter the gym? That would be awesome! Thanks.

Digital barcode is worse then useless

adamstrathearn on

United States

Why do I need to put in my passcode and username every other time I access the digital barcode to get it scanned to get in. It drives me crazy. PLEASE UPDATE and fix. Either make it so you don’t have to constantly put in the username passcode OR make it so it opens with your Face ID. These days that should not be that hard to do.

Constant logging in, error messages

skiaddict on

United States

This app would be great if we did not have to log in constantly. Also when logging in it often returns error messages when generating the bar code and you must clear and log in all over again multiple times.

Good App - Would be great with a few features

bg101212 on

United States

The app is missing two key features that would really make it great. First, a visit log would be great to have. This would be especially helpful for staff/faculty. Second, please add Apple Watch support for the member barcode. The only reason I take my phone in is to scan my membership. Adding the barcode to Apple Watch would greatly help simplify things and not leave me worried about my phone laying around. Bonus - add Apple Wallet support for the barcode. That might solve the need for Apple Watch support. Would also allow for quick retrieval on the phone.

Bad app

DShirazi on

United States

This is a confusing app. I am not sure if it is configured/organized bad by UofI or just bad design at its core. Some steps like Log-in don’t provide any confirmation and don’t hold state; for example, I can’t login and then register for an exercise slot.

Missing Feature

Susi-Sama on

United States

This app has some nice features such as live counts of how many people are using the different parts of the CRWC and Field House, facility hours, and group fitness schedules, but it’s missing one of the most important ones for faculty/staff members: a one button ability to check how many visits you’ve made in the current month.

Very efficient

This app is super helpful and gives the information I need.
