Description
Unsmartifier is a Safari Web Extension that lets you remove annoying Smart App Banners that wants you to download an App for the current webpage.
Just enable Unsmartifier and it runs unnoticeably in the background and prevents future Smart App Banners to be shown.
Usage:
1. Open Settings
2. Select Safari
3. Select Extensions
4. Select 'Unsmartifier'
5. Enable 'Unsmartifier'
6. Enable 'All Websites'
Info on Permissions:
Unsmartifier needs to run on all websites to prevent the Smart App Banners on sites you haven't occurred yet. Unsmartifier doesn't do anything else than that.
Please note that it can not remove App Clips Banner that link to the app of website. To remove those banners you need to remove the corresponding app.
It also focuses on the system Smart Banners. If a website uses custom ones those can not be blocked. Those can be blocked with various Content Blockers

The extension does not work on the Facebook website, whether on the mobile site on iPhone, or the computer site on iPad. iOS 16.3.1
Unter iOS 17.4.1 keine Funktion
Leider funktioniert die App bzw. die Erweiterung unter iOS 17.4.1 nicht. Lässt sich zwar installieren und auch konfigurieren aber hat keinen Effekt leider.

„Open in App“ Banner still there…
Funktioniert einwandfrei
auf einem iPhone 14 mit iOS 16.6. Ich verstehe die negativen Bewertungen hier nicht. Wahrscheinlich liegt es bei denen, wo es nicht funktioniert, einen falschen Einstellungen. Seit ich diese App verwende habe ich definitiv nicht mehr einen einzigen von den nervigen App-Bannern gesehen. Klasse App, da gibt man gern ein Trinkgeld.
Funktioniert leider nicht (iPadOS 16.3)
Auf iPadOS 16.3 ist die Erweiterung leider nicht mehr funktionsfähig. Die App lässt sich einrichten, aktivieren und startet Problemlos, zeigt jedoch überall 0 blockierte Banner. Die Smart-Banner der Website werden auch weiterhin angezeigt. Die Idee ist super, hoffentlich klappt die Anpassung!
Funktioniert nicht.
Diese Erweiterung tut nichts. Banner bleiben weiterhin so stehen. Ja, Berechtigungen habe ich erteilt.
Kann sein oder auch nicht
«Unsmartifier already removed 613 Smart App Banners.» Das würde mich freuen, beurteilen kann ich es nicht. Wohl aber, dass ich die Dinger immer und immer wieder sehe (zum Beispiel auf den Seiten des ZDF). Also wenn, läuft der Unsmartifier leider nicht zuverlässig.
