Decent trial

Alseif on

Australia

Decent apps, requires long a trial activation when starting apps... email address along with other infomation needed... 30day trails. massive collection of drug info... if you can be bothered to download about 600mb worth.. best over wifi ofcourse. drug are mainly name after the generic name although the product name can sometime show... if you live in australia... its best to use the generic name as sometime it wont show... also be aware it follow US naming protocol... so for example paracetamol is called acetaminophen

Worse with new releases

New versions are laggier and crash so much more than previous releases.

please change back to the old icon

I’ve used LEXICOMP for years. I also use uptodate. I pay for both of them personally, since my practice group does not subscribe. It’s annoying and unnecessary that the icons for both are now exactly the same. Please give us an option to use the old lecicomp icon. Both references are next to each other on my phone, since i use them so much. Now they look like the same app. This is NOT helpful for someone who may be consulting the drug reference after being awake for 24 or more hours.

Jump feature not working (FIXED) Thx

Writting from Iphone 13 pro max. The Jump feature is not working properly and it is crucial for speed during work. Will not renew if this is not fixed.

Worst app I’ve downloaded

Glaudens on

What is going on? I am logged in on my institutional account and cannot do anything. I said yes to download all datasets, but it shows none in my library, and I cannot do a search because I haven’t selected a dataset. I can’t select one if they won’t download. I’ll definitely be saying something to my dental hygiene director and asking if they will consider an alternative resource that has an app that actually works. For the money we pay for an institutional subscription, this is not good at all. Regular UTD app works just fine, btw.

Bad charges

TeriRust58 on

I downloaded this and decided I didn’t want it and backed out of it. I haven’t even signed onto the account yet and I just got charged three different payments all different amounts at three different times. It makes no sense to me.

Databases (fixed)

They fixed database sorting issue, it really is a good app. I’ve been using it for over 10 years. Has saved me numerous times!

Every New Version is Less Functional

Super_Jimmy on

United States

Twelve years ago it was excellent. Now I would hesitate a lot to purchase it for my own practice if I didn’t have access through my hospital. Every big update makes it worse, and I have to say it feels like they are truly looking for what else to ruin. No, I don’t want to navigate through 5 menus EVERY TIME I go in to call up a drug. Most of what I have to wade through has never once been useful, or rarely at best. The app is unstable and crashes fairly frequently. The most recent surprise was that it suddenly decided to lock me out of the app in the middle of looking something up, and for absolutely no reason. I am still in the process of trying to recover my access, and had to delete everything to see if a fresh download would help. Having the drug reference is absolutely vital to doing my job, but the implementation is getting more disappointing as time goes by.

Used to be an the leader of the pack

I’ve used LexiComp since 2004 on Palm and Windows Mobile. It had solid performance up until about 3 years ago on iPhone and iPad. As many others have mentioned, you cannot lock your databases in place. The drug ID seems to miss a lot. In all honesty, it sounds like they have a developer issue. Also, I don’t like that you can’t house or update content anymore. It says that it downloads datasets automatically, yet I always get ‘updated content’ anytime I click on a drug. If I’m on a flight or don’t have service, it’d be nice to update before I go like it used to be. Epocrates and drugs.com have better app performance. Wish they’d have more stability like they used to.

Sorting the library

Conner87737 on

United States

Currently unable to sort library databases. When editing to change the order (such as making Lexi-drugs the first database) the settings immediately revert to the default after pressing “done.” Pleeeeeeasssse fix! The app is much more convenient when search results appear in order of relevancy. Otherwise love the app
