Problem?
The stupid app won’t even come on. It just sets there trying to load. Why don’t you shut the app down.
Yes, US Lightning Strikes Map is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.

Poorly made
You might as well shut of your device and watch the blank screen.
The other reviews nailed it. Not much to add. Very disappointed.
Worthless! World and US versions don't seem to do anything. A number of strikes close to home and within 10 miles. Nothing
If you want worldwide view or a view of what is within a 1/2 mile of your location then it works, otherwise it is "TOTALLY USELESS"
A huge powerful storm has been moving through Kansas for 3 hours and lightning strikes are lighting up the sky with 100's of strikes. I downloaded this app and it only shows a handful of strikes in the entire state. What? I swear a strike hit within 100' of my home and this app has the closest strike over 50 miles away. Plus the menus don't do much and some are blank.
Downloaded the app while the entire SE Texas area is inundated with severe thunderstorms. After over an hour of using the app it never indicated a single strike in all of North America.
Pretty bare bones, but an excellent start. Seems to be fast at identifying strikes.
