uSked

App for service-based industry

Published by: Access Interpreting

Description

Service providers and those that make service requests are always on-the-go. They are in their cars, office buildings, school cafeterias or courthouses. There is one constant that they keep by their side - their phone. That’s why we created an app that houses everything they need to make requests, view assignment details, to invoicing, to searching for more work, and more.
uSked has unique log-ins for those requesting services (customers) and those assigned to provide those services (service providers).
Those requesting services have the autonomy to detail all information via the app.
● Date, time, location
● Nature of what needs to be done
● Point of contact information
● Materials for provider review, if applicable
● Preferences
● Feedback
● Cancel the service request
Service providers looking to be assigned to requests have everything at their fingertips.
● Ability to search for work and express interest
● View all assignment-related details
● View materials to review prior to assignment, if applicable
● Navigate to assignment
● Link their preferred calendar to the app
● Fill out verification or necessary forms for the assignment
● Invoice from the app

uSked Reviews

It’s not all that great.

App basically is only good for checking schedules. Other than that you have to use the main website. So to change personal info or availability it’s useless. I only have it because my agency is using it. Otherwise it would not be my first choice.

A bit clunky

The refresh every time you go back to the app/assignment is a little frustrating. I’m often in buildings that don’t have great cell reception and, as a contractor, connecting to the wifi isn’t always possible, so having to let it load again can take minutes sometimes. I frequently need to reference the specifics of the assignment to get the POC/consumers’ names, room location, etc. The other thing I would like to see is to have some color variation on the Service Request Details screen. Even something as simple as an alternating white and light blue color scheme line-by-line would be nice with the detail labels on the left (event name, date, POC) in a bold or larger font. Even more preferable would be to color code those details following the same color scheme as the icons on the summary page for the assignment (pink for POC, orange for consumers, green for service providers, etc.).

Convenient to access anytime

As an contact interpreter, the app is great to access available job postings and manage ones I have completed. It is more convenient than logging if to the website every time I want to accept an assignment. However, the app only lets me accept jobs, not decline. The thumbs up is always next to the assignment. If I need to decline, I have to log in to the site. Is there anyway you can add a thumbs down to decline jobs in the app? It would be such an improvement on an already great and useful resource!

It’s so slow

The app really needs to be updated. Any time I navigate to any page it will refresh all the info all over again. Even slow when I’m on a Wi-Fi connection. It’s horrible when I’m in a parking garage with no connection and I can’t load any of the data I need. I’ve just gotten used to screenshoting all the info I need before I leave and referencing them because I can’t depend on this app.

Amazing

This makes looking at assignments, accepting assignment, invoicing, feedback, scheduling- everything in one app. This is nothing short of amazing.

Should be better

kudvwrb on

This app crashes all the time, especially when invoicing. I’ve had to use this app for over 3 years, and when adding jobs, it crashes. When opening an invoice, it crashes. When converting a pdf of your invoice, crashes. Every time I download an upgrade I hope that this issue goes away, but it doesn’t. There should be a feature where if something is added to your schedule, you get a phone notification. There should be more preferences, to make the app your own. Example: In the job details I want to see all the job details every time and scroll. I hate that I have to click (show more info) every time, wait for it to load, etc

Simplicity and Ease of Use

RCTS-ASL on

United States

This application has been easy to navigate and can leave feedbacks for one specific job/assignment. I would like to see an option to add or sync the assignment/job from this application to any calendar on either Apple, Android, or other type of Smartphones. Over application is simple and productive nothing complicated. The overall design and navigation is simple and excellent!! Don’t make too much changes!! Just add another option.
