I prefer the physical paper . It seems the delivery person has quit and not replaced . Therefore I get the paper by mail in the afternoon (+/- 5 pm) I want it in the morning , so I read it online. My wife is okay with it being later although would also prefer it in the morning.
I have had access to the VN website for a few years. It is my link to home when traveling. Lately, with our heavy snowstorms, it has allowed me to enjoy the news in the warm comfort of my living room. While I prefer the actual newspaper, this website is a great service. Thank you VN!
I still enjoy reading the physical paper most days, but my husband always uses the app. And this snowy Saturday morning, I’m delighted to be reading the paper on my iPad. The good thing about this app is you still get the serendipity of reading the newspaper and can read articles that aren’t only fed to you by an algorithm.
Valley News app is the very best news app that I have encountered. Navigation is very easy and the typeface and font size makes for pleasant reading. What I like best is that there is full text content from the newspaper without too many distractions from photos, ads, and videos.

I love reading the Valley News on my iPad. I display the paper so that it appears like the print version on the left side of the screen and the full article is on the right.
A pretty good app that allows for both a newspaper layout and the article text by just one click. One complaint is that the text only layout is not always synced to the newspaper layout. An article in newspaper layout may end on one page and be continued on another; the text only may only pick up the first page so one has to go back to the graphical layout and click again on the next page it is found on. Comic strips do not always follow in sequence when clicked-swiped to see the next strip. They need a more robust layout check by a person to uncover these errors and develop solutions to them.
